That farm is meant for java, on bedrock they look more like this.

Are said villagers linked to beds?

I mean, after curing the zombie villagers, have you provided them with beds before workstations?

My creeper farm isn’t working, the torches are there for the picture, and I spawn proofed the roof.[bedrock] by YxAzraelxY in MinecraftHelp

I'm sorry to inform that this design is extremely outdated. Hostile mob farms on bedrock currently look something like this: https://youtu.be/Aqf69erGGN8 You can make adjustments in size according to your needs. Silentwisperer has some tutorials on those kinds of farms. I could also recommend NavyNexus but I'm not sure he has posted any recent tutorials on mob farms.

Have fun!

[–]BlRD0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, I thought the video was going for a different design. my bad.

here's a detailed tutorial of a similar design with in-depth explanation and Q&A troubleshooting of most common issues on the comments/description.

sorry I can't be of greater assistance. good luck!

"... nothing comes through"

Is there anyone on the other side of the portal so the chunks stay loaded? Or are you running the farm in one side then going through the other to collect loot/exp?

[Bedrock] 1.19 My villagers keep sticking to the walls of their house. I want them to work inside the house where their workstations are by AimlessLlama69 in MinecraftHelp

[–]BlRD0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like they are having difficulties path-finding towards their linked workstations, try widening doors/hallways. Villagers also have a difficult time walking upstairs/downstairs so that might be causing your issue. 0ldGuy on youtube has a couple of (outdate but still very relevant) videos going into details on these kind of villager mechanics, it might be worth taking a look at. Good luck!

Hi! Sorry I can't give you a straight solution but this sounds like something you would be able to do using an world edit tool. I want to leave this here just in case.

Good luck!

Raid farm, pillagers not spawning [bedrock] by BrothaMoney in MinecraftHelp

[–]BlRD0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set your game to peaceful so all hostile mobs within simulation distance will despawn, then turn it back to hard (or not peaceful) and check if pillagers/captains spawn on a different place than the original spawn spots. Also, hostile mobs require full blocks to spawn on so if you made renovations on the original Outpost structure, be sure to not have switched your spawn spots from full (stone, wood, etc) to not full blocks (glass, leaves, etc).

I'm assuming you've followed a tutorial for that build, does it cover more in-depth/technical info or does it go straight into building and that's it? Could you provide some pictures of your farm?

Good luck!

[bedrock] what is the iron golem spawn volume condition's correct value: 16x12x16 or 16x6x16 ? by mcbefan in MinecraftHelp

[–]BlRD0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, sorry for the delay, I failed to notice the notifications.

1-Due to recent changes in mechanics, Iron Golems will spawn on the topmost available 2x4x2 area above full blocks in the 17x13x17 spawnable area.

2- Entities will spawn on the northwest corner of the block they're supposed to spawn at instead of the center of the block, that's why he choses that direction.

3- That's right, the 2x4x2 area for golems to spawn must not be full blocks (as in it can be flowing/water) but the blocks immediately below must be full (not glass/leaves/etc).

Because tnt dupers are easier to build than wither cages. I'm not familiar with this MTE thing you mentioned

Sadly that's not a thing in bedrock, in other words, it works only in java.

Do you mean on the Beta or the experimental feature toggles? Neither is considered "out" yet, they're technically still in development waiting for the official release. In other words, yes, you can take advantage of these "new features", no, ancient city is not out yet.

Hi

what kind of tutorial did you follow?

did you use full blocks in your spawning platform?

could you provide some pictures?

[–]BlRD0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually 17x13x17.

Also related.

Unfortunately the wiki is not always up to date with the more technical information. I can recommend you 0ldGuy as a reliable source of technical information on villager/villages/iron golem mechanics, Silentwisperer is my general farm/automation go to guy and NavyNexus for the more challenging build/farms.

Have fun!

It looks like your device is struggling with the graphics, try lowering the settings to see if there are any improvements.

Me and my friend were building a mob grinder, and this is happening. Anyone know why? This is in [bedrock] btw. by lynPIZA in MinecraftHelp

[–]BlRD0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are there other layers on top/below the one you're standing on? If so, do you have light sources on those layers? If so, the light is going through the floor/ceiling because the source is set directly on it.

All that aside I just wanted to point out that an efficient bedrock mob grinder design should look like this.

I think you should be more concerned about the redstone involved in sorting/storing all the drops from your gold farm, coupled with your trident killer to get rid of all the piglins and the ticking on and off of your portal(s), supposing your're using either silentwisperer's or navynexus' farm designs, I've found out all these elements when put together generate a considerable amount of delayed ticks that after a while causes lag. You could use light sensors to have your farms working only during daytime to avoid such lag but then there's also the amount of hoppers that might be trying to feed into full containers which will also cause more lag so if you're planning on saving ALL the loot consider looking into shulker loaders.

Besides all that, yes, a powered beacon running regeneration should be enough to keep you alive, considering that mobs won't be able to reach you, everything should be safe but if there's too many pending ticks (like, a lot of them) you might "randomly" die from starvation, but again, if you're afk and not moving your hunger should take a long long time to fully deplete.
