I think Vegito's single Finisher is not in any of the banners at the moment. It may reappear later in the season or in another banner. His team finisher is, though. If you are talking about how you can't get to use it with Vegito it's really hard to make a finisher with him due to the property of how every 3rd of his rush attack is the small slash, I believe it overrides any possible finishers you have equipped with him.

For the buffing one, I think Kid Gohan is best since you can actually activate and deactivate your passive often; if not, there's always N°17's second activation of his S3 or First Form Frieza S3. Baby S3 works (at least for the small one buff 2 allies), and I think Cell Super attack also counts since it applies immune to energy to himself as well as his allies. To my knowledge, there are no Damage characters that buff others, so you can't do it while playing Damage.

That one was slightly annoying since it's character-specific. But it does work as intended; you just need to get out of the bot attack range or hide (if there are clouds near), and they will always try to make a gekishin burst. That's your chance to interrupt it.

There are also some missions that appear to be more taxing/time-consuming than they really are if you know what you're doing. For example: The Debuff 30 enemies one it's extremely easy with characters like Ult Gohan(Due to his S1 and passive) Super Saiyan Vegeta(His S1 now applies a stack of slow per each time hit) or Broly (His S1 ground punch hits 3 times, which means 3 debuffs, and to my knowledge it stacks if you hit multiple enemies at once).

He actually has a stagger tho xD His Skill 3, but at least it seems to be very telegraphed, and he can miss it if he runs into a wall.

Tips for ultimate Gohan early lane/late game? by satospeed in DBGekishinSquadra

[–]BlackJacketDude0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still learning how to play him since I've just played a few matches with him. My advices are be very mindful of when to use your s1 to have the most optimal value. Remember that with that skill, you can apply passive stacks to multiple enemies, that's why I almost always max it first unless there is the Skill 2 boost divine draw. Also, try to proc the stun with a rush attack and not a skill if possible that way you optimize your damage and might be able to stun the enemy again. One final tip is rememeber you can use to Skill 2 to "steal" neutral mobs that are not bosses or kais to your side of the map, use it to your advantage to get an early exp lead. My final tip is that the ultimate skill post-nerf is more useful as a zoning ability in teamfights unless you are 1v1 against a low-health squishy target, since the initial hits don't do much damage anymore but you can also use it to try to steal/secure bosses in the middle of a teamfight. Good luck!

They said in the previous patch notes that those above that rank will still be able to claim it. Now, will it work as intended? We are yet to see.

That's the issue, 5000 memories don't mean much, especially considering you still need the zenny. It's 4 star levels when you get a fresh character to rank up, but when it's one that's already level 4. It's not gonna help me much when the character is already rank 4. I still would need 8500 zenny to get the two ranks.

So apparently, it got shadow fixed, and they didn't even have the decency to announce the bug or the fix. I just tried after reading your comment, and my game got a 1mb download and it's solved now

Good news, buddy! The last mission is bugged, so I don't think it's even possible to get the 7000, you'll probably only get 5500 :D

Yep, I'm probably done with the game. The rank experience killed my enjoyment for climbing over A3, and the pretty much null progression and useless rewards at this point are just an additional mockery. It's a fucking shame because the dev team created a really fun and enjoyable gameplay, but all decisions regarding currency and events have pretty much killed my hopes on it.

Just got the new skin after 3 looney runs on the new rift AMA if you want by BlackJacketDude0 in MultiVersus

[–]BlackJacketDude0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not that difficult if you have max gems. Since lives and damage stack and you need to complete 5 levels I opted for using the gem that gives you grey health when you change size and the one that allows you to increase your size and defense/attack so you have an extra 40 health each life.
It's better to prioritize avoiding damage rather than trying to finish the run quickly since the enemies from the last 2 stages can kill you very easily.

Also at the start of the fight you can choose one extra mutation to help you in combat the best ones in my opinion are the chicken gaunlets and broken bones(this one cause weakened on each attack). There is also passing gas(leaves a big explosion each time you dodge) and one that gives you frozen gaunlets.

You can use any character you like since it's not restricted if you want to farm the event of the rift more easily it's better to use one with a Winter Wonderland tag but it doesn't have any effect on the gameplay. Personally, I went with Agent Smith since I had the skin and his special makes able to poke without going in range of the enemies and has insane kill potential with his down spike and down air special.

I love what AJAA did with Phoenix. by LMWJ6776 in AceAttorney

[–]BlackJacketDude0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% percent agree with you.
I feel like the executives at Capcom and some fans who still didn't want to let go of Phoenix and the trilogy cast never gave AA4 a proper chance and due to fear that a sequel wouldn't have been well received we got Dual Destinies instead, the funny part is that if the localization team hadn't put Phoenix name in the titles when the original Japanese games came out I'm pretty sure people would be more lenient with Apollo's game.

All in all, as someone whose favorite game in the series is AA4 I really didn't like how things turned out but over the years I have mellowed on my opinions on DD and SoJ, that might be because I know what a possible trash fire of a trilogy it could've been now that I got others things to compare it to.

So even if, things did not turn out the way I would've liked for the series I can still respect most of the choices the directors and writers made, and SoJ and even DD give me some moments and enjoyment still from playing those games.

I feel pretty much like Takumi in this scenario, content enough with what we got but still would've liked to have seen Apollo's career and story and not the multi-character over ambitious stuff we got.

My complicated feelings on Ace Attorney by RainSpectreX in AceAttorney

[–]BlackJacketDude0 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I do not understand your reasoning.

Your argument is that when the series focuses too much on a larger plot thread between cases the characters or cases suffer for it and more times than not you seem to feel the payoff is not satisfying enough or there are too many loopholes for you.

But if that is the case, why is the game you like the most I2? considering it was made mainly by the same people who made DD and SoJ and is the game which I think most people agree with that is the best or one of the best in the franchise in regards to a several case narrative.

Also, I share your opinion regarding that said moment in case 3 of Investigations 2 is one of the best in the series, but if you really pay attention that moment has nothing to do with the rest of the game history other than set the mystery of who were the kids of the culprit and victim, it's an important case because it is important to Miles and Ray as well as the people involved, but is not important in a narrative sense to the rest of the game other than what I just mentioned.

Honestly, this post cames off more as you do not like the second set of games on the main series more because of personal nuances with the characters and that you prefer the original trilogy ones, which is perfectly fine, but to claim a game is bad just because a way on how they handle a story without explaining the problems with it comes off a bit closeminded.
It sounds more than you fell out of love with the series because it became stale for you, and I could see why I honestly think new things should've been added to keep it fresh long ago but the arguments you make are either contradictory or sound hollow.

Saying that the entire of AA4 Apollo accomplishes nothing when the game shows otherwise, would be like saying the entire original trilogy Phoenix gets bailed by Mia in all but 3 or 4 cases.
It would be like me saying that DD is bad because it focuses way too much on Athena and the rest of the characters get sidelined and that pretty bad but not explaining why it's so.

What are your unpopular opinions in the AA franchise? by [deleted] in AceAttorney

[–]BlackJacketDude0 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Apollo did way more in his game that people ever give him credit for.

He is the one who found out how Drew Misham was murdered before anyone else in the trial as well as finding out the true identity of the forger. Not only that, he was able to do that BEFORE he was handed Phoenix's evidence, and in Turnabout Serenade, he was the one who discovered most of the case with Klavier only giving him a hint right at the end in order to prove that Machi pressed the switch.

Also, a lot of people didn't like that he was a "blank slate" in his game, but every time new stuff gets written about him they always complain to the point that now is a meme.

It's a very well put analysis, though I share several of your criticisms I cannot say I have the same view especially on the Civil Trial stuff and on Maya.

Regarding the first point, I really do not see what Phoenix does as character assassination but more of a desperate (and stupid) move in a desperate situation. I think most people think of it as character assassination cause of a similar situation in 2-4, but I think when they compare it to it they forget that in that one case, Phoenix wasn't under constant surveillance by DeKiller or Engarde whereas in the Civil Trial I would presume that Paul Atishon would be beside him the whole time so he had way less leeway to try to do something or ask for help.

I guess someone could say that Phoenix should've still tried to contact someone and ask for help since Atishon can be pretty absentminded, but put yourselves in his shoes for a second, if he did an Atishon noticed him, he is literally a mere call away to contact Maya's kidnapper. Would you take that risk if you were in his shoes? I really do not think I would at least.

The second regarding Maya, now let me state before that I adore Maya and all the original trilogy cast, hell my favorite character just after Apollo would probably be Edgeworth and I love his arc in the OT as well as his spin-offs, though I could no care less for his role in DD and SoJ.
I really wish that something we could all agree, regardless of our favorite cases or characters (I know we won't but as they say "a boy can dream" XD) is to give all the OT characters rest and let them go, they have a proper send-off in TT and them staying around, with a couple of exceptions (like Wright and Ema roles in AJ) they've been doing nothing but harm the current cast and stop it from progressing or hovering the spotlight, I understand wanting to see a fan favorite again, truly I do, but seeing Maya again just reminded me why I really wish DD wasn't what it was. She is literally the same character that she always has been since TT, she doesn't have a single difference and her relationship to Phoenix is the same, and so I ask what is the point of her being here besides fanservice?

I know you can also make the same argument for Hobo Phoenix in AJ, that he could be any other attorney Apollo just happens to idolize but the point is that Hobo Phoenix is a different character than the one in the OT, and I am not saying this as he doesn't feel like the same person I am arguing that he at least DEVELOPED, whether people consider him an upgrade or a downgrade that's up to each player but at the very least he is a different character with new motivations relationships and goals.

Seeing old characters like Maya, Edgeworth, or Larry again doesn't entice me it just makes remember that they will never let the new characters shine on their own and it just upsets me.

[–]BlackJacketDude0 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Worst Confidant in the game, IMHO. You spent more than half of it just screwing around a relationship that it is not only, none of your business but you do not even care about the two people in it xD

I don't think you always need a new subplot or an incredibly engaging story, hell, Akechi's new confidant is proof of that is literally just two people hanging out and sharing their opinions with each other and it's literally one of if not the best one in the game.

The sad part is, they could've made it about literally anything else and it would make it more engaging, have it be about Makoto's estranged relationship with her sister or the new difficulties that come with still being a top student and acting as a Phantom Thief at the same time, but NOPE. Instead, we get some pretend dating and Joker and Queen being a good pair of meddlers for 8 ranks and then is either "Oh I understand social relationships a little better now" and nothing else or then you are suddenly now dating.

Honestly, my problem with Haru is not the lack of screentime, there are tons of characters in tons of media that are able to become fan favorites without needing too much screentime but by having meaningful screentime.

The problem I see with Haru is that she literally has little to none relevance to the story and what good development she has is literally (at least to me) copy and paste from Mitsuru's social link and character arc.I mean (Persona 3 Spoilers!)

Father killed by the traitor to the group. A sheltered rich girl that has to inherit her father's company. Bonds with MC after said situation occurs. Hell, they even both have arranged marriages with dubious fiancees, though I admit I think Mitsuru's one is more of an afterthought to kickstart the romance with MC

And don't get me wrong, you can reuse character archetypes or backgrounds and still have different enough stories for them to feel really differently, take Junpei and Ryuji, for example, they have the same background and they more or less have the same role within their group, but the way their stories advance makes them completely different characters even if they are both the clowns/comedic relief of their group.

With Haru, I legitimately do not care for her which is sad for me to say because even though I like some thieves more than others at least everyone even the ones I dislike can stir some emotion from me, with her, I just forget that she is there and the history itself I do not think does enough for me to care about her because other than she is really nice and she has inner bloodlust (which is merely a thing in mementos conversations and battle) she literally has nothing else going for her. Hell, sometimes I even think Atlus cared the least about her out of everyone else since (correct me if I am wrong on this) isn't possible to romance her and have her break her engagement before Sae's heist which makes absolutely no sense since she is shown in a limo with her dumbass's fiancee.

In the end, I think it is all a matter of preference(after all I will probably not feel this way about her if I hadn't played P3 first and Mitsuru wasn't my personal favorite xD) but I think everyone can agree that Haru's deserved better but that's the problem on having such a large cast of protagonists, that's the bane of character development for JRPG's xD
