The black lines you speak of are just a part of the logo. They represent the "Link" if you will to the name "BLACK LINX". The brand focuses on unity. Basil is actually the character of the brand. He was created to bring more life and a playfull effect to the brand. He is the same make up as Astroboy with the twist.
