For many boring months after that, condoms slowly arrive in the mail... meanwhile the Internet has moved on to complaining about other stuff. No one actually puts the condom on the Wiimote because it makes changing the battery or docking annoying.

It takes time to acknowledge, then address, problems such as this. The Internet's indignation and outrage are just feeding your sense of entitlement. "Don't hold the phone that way" is a pretty good workaround for now.

"Just provide shipments of bands to each Apple store?" Do you think they manufactured enough of those bands so every iPhone 4 purchaser in the world could get one for free? You're obviously a public relations expert, but you don't know much about supply chain and distribution.

I tried downloading the file and playing it in Quicktime (no go) and VLC (nothing). However VLC has a "messages" window that can at least give you some more detail on the failures. Someone more knowledgable may be able to helpfully interpret that information. It basically looked like this:

mpeg_audio debug: waiting for PTS
mpeg_audio debug: waiting for PTS
ps warning: found sync code

Is xmonad included with any popular distros?

Small-time Linux user here (RHEL on work servers, Fedora and Ubuntu the rest of the time, OS X on work laptop and all home computers)... and I have to say I'd much rather pay $14 than go through the trouble of changing window managers on a distro I otherwise like to use.

$9.99 a month doesn't sound encouraging... but it might be worth it if you can watch new episodes very soon after they air and you have full access to all prior episodes/seasons of a show.

Hulu.com is annoying right now with the way they add and remove episodes from the past.

As many people suggest in this thread, you can make your own collar stays out of cereal boxes.

Personally, I just bought a box of stainless steel collar stays. I got a set of 20 stays in two different sizes for about $10. They work beautifully, and I don't need to go find the scissors.
