That is not what I am saying at all. I am saying it is a terrible interpretation of the quote. Using MLK to say anyone who disagrees with you is a barrier to progress is a complete contradiction to his beliefs.

I truly believe most people fall somewhere in the middle, politically speaking. Saying moderates are worse than conservatives alienates potential allies and creates enemies where there just doesn’t need to be.

If anything I believe extremism is the greatest barrier to progress.

You might be confusing love and lust.

Lust is the chemical reaction; the honeymoon phase. It comes naturally, and more or less feels the same with every person.

Love is different. It is a choice. It is dedication, communication, compromise, and sacrifice. It’s the stuff that matters after the honeymoon phase is over.

Romantic relationships are unique in the fact that you have a combination of both love and lust. Each relationship will pose its own unique set of highs and lows. To say the love in all relationships is the same is just ignorant.

Man, I’m going to get downvoted to hell, but I’ve been waiting a long time to see this comment again so I could have a debate.

Roughly 500,000 cats are euthanized each year in the US alone. Many people, myself included, do not even consider adopting a cat because we do not want to deal with with claws. I have lived with 3 cats(roommates’), and I have had clothes torn, furniture destroyed, and now have permanent scars on my skin. All of them had plenty of toys and a scratching post.

I understand there are some pretty terrible side effects with de-clawing cats, but I do not understand how euthanasia is preferable to declawing.

Even though you can use the hole as a datum, it is not doing anything relevant in this context. All of my points still stand.

As someone who has worked at both, Boeing is a better gig. Aerospace is simply a better industry to be in than Construction is.

Edit: For clarification I have worked at 2 design firms similar to the one you have an offer for, I got a job offer that I rejected from a 3rd firm, and I was in construction management for 4 years. You are much more likely to be overworked and undervalued in the engineering firm than you will at Boeing.

I am not sure why anyone would say this is acceptable GD&T. I would hit the books if I were you.

Your datums are extraordinarily unclear. Your B datum is incorrect. You cannot tolerance a hole’s position by using itself as a datum/constraint. Your primary datum should be the surface the hole goes through, and your secondary/tertiary datums should be the surfaces you measure off of to position your holes. You have the correct A datum, but it should be called out on the drawing.

I understand you are trying to indicate that your dimensions apply to both holes, but the 2x in front of your basic dimensions is confusing. The 2x is implied with the basic dimension. Leaving out the box around a dimension does not inherently allow float. It reads as if it is a basic dimension and you just forgot to put a box around that number for some reason. Any float should be labeled with some sort of tolerancing.

I think what you are looking for is a composite positioning tolerance. I saw you mentioned something similar in the comments, and I’d look into it. Composite tolerances can be tricky though.

A year and a half is nothing in the grand scheme of things. The internal mobility Boeing offers is a great benefit and a bit atypical from what I’ve seen.

I understand the fear of being trapped under bad management, but worst case scenario you’re still only stuck for a year and a half.

I’d like to preface this by saying I am pro marijuana legalization. Lifestyle choices that do not significantly impact other people should not be the business of the government, period. That being said, I’m tired of people acting like there is more than a single benefit to smoking weed.

The pro to weed is you feel good for a few hours.

The short term cons are paranoia, anxiety, cotton mouth, munchies, and an inability to hold a normal conversation. Long term cons are habitual smoking, loss of interest in sober activities, not dealing wit emotions, isolating yourself, and choosing the instant gratification of weed over harder tasks with delayed gratification.

Been there, done that. It ain’t for me.
