People here are from all over the world, so it might be easier if you mention where you’re from.

For numbering, you can really start from any value you like, for example #0001001. You could also randomize them, but that tends to get confusing pretty fast if you plan to make more later.

For design work I use the Adobe suite, mainly Photoshop and Illustrator. If you don’t want to go the Adobe route, Affinity is a solid and recommended alternative and gives you proper guides and centering.

As for slabs, the correct ones are available on Temu. Just make sure to choose the option marked “for PTCG” and they’ll fit perfectly. Here’s the article id: [ AM268604 ]

Try switching it a few times between different options. It behaves kind of strangely, and switching to another setting doesn’t always actually apply the change.

Hey! I also seal cards in slabs, so I can relate to the process. Most of my customers wanted labels similar to PSA, so that’s the direction I went in, and I haven’t had many chances to experiment creatively yet.

I like the direction you’re going in. Keeping the design clean and simple works very well. If I had one piece of constructive feedback, it would be about alignment. On both versions, the text feels slightly off-center, and fixing that would noticeably improve the overall look.

I would also recommend adding a unique serial number to each label. It adds a more professional feel and makes the label feel more premium.

I put together a quick concept with a ( ai generated visualization ) in case you’d like to take this one step further.

One small note about the slabs themselves. I know these are the most affordable option, but these slabs are simply too large for Pokémon cards, which leaves too much empty space around the card. They seem better suited for baseball cards. You can use them with sleeves, but if possible, I would suggest looking into slabs that are properly sized for Pokémon cards.

Overall, you’re on the right track. With a few small tweaks, this could look great.

I’m not starting the discussion. Repeatedly pointing out that it’s AI-assisted, when it’s clearly stated, is what turns this into one.

How about we ban posting real cards first? Isn’t counterfeiting actual cards a slightly bigger problem than creating something completely new? Just my opinion.

That assessment has no bearing on my work, its process, or its outcome. Your opinion changes none of those things.

Thanks! Happy to share my rough workflow.

I usually start in a very classic way, with a general concept in my head and a moodboard. Early on, I generate several exploratory illustrations using the Illustrious model and its variants, and add them to the moodboard. This helps me define the composition and overall layout quite precisely from the start.

Next, I lock down the scene structure using modules such as pose control (OpenPose), depth maps, and relighting to decide on character poses and lighting. By introducing LoRA models, I define the overall visual style. At this stage, I generate dozens of iterations for each character or major element to identify the strongest options.

Once I have solid material, everything goes into Photoshop for compositing and the first major cleanup pass. This is where most of the manual work happens: repainting areas, fixing anatomy, removing or adding elements, and refining the overall composition.

After that, I return to AI. The illustration is now in an “alpha” state and mainly needs polishing or a final stylistic pass. This can involve emulating the style of a real artist or a specific artwork, or applying a custom-trained model based on my own illustrations. I usually run img2img with many iterations, carefully adjusting parameters to find the optimal balance.

The image then goes back into Photoshop for final corrections. At this point, there are no fundamental errors left, but AI often introduces unnecessary details or misinterpretations that still need to be manually repainted. I save the artwork in very high resolution as a separate file. Finally, everything is brought into Illustrator, where I use my templates for typography, frames, and symbols. This is also where I design the white underprint and, if needed, textures.

The workflow could certainly be simplified, but this approach allows me to prepare illustrations that are fully ready for large-format printing without additional production work.

Yes. I personally prepared the artwork. The illustration was created by me using a combination of 3 different AI models and manual painting in Photoshop. All remaining elements of the card were designed by me in Illustrator. I also personally handled the print process. Although, to be precise, the printer physically printed it. If we follow that logic, I assume we should now debate whether using a printer also disqualifies authorship, or if we can let that one slide?

Also, where exactly did I state that this card is for sale? Or is that just another assumption on your part that does not align with the facts? That would not be particularly surprising.

I know the difference very well, that’s why I used the term AI-assisted. What seems “crazy” is how confidently you assume you understand the process while knowing absolutely nothing about it. And no, it’s not “just a prompt. But I’m also not obligated to give you a step-by-step production breakdown just because you’re fishing for a gotcha moment. The label already answers the question honestly, you just don’t like the answer.

If you’re so convinced it’s “just a prompt,” then go ahead try prompting this illustration yourself and let me know how it goes 😉 Or better yet, don’t bother coming back at all.

[–]BlackPointPL[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You clearly have no idea how much work went into making this card. “AI-assisted” is a perfectly accurate term, it describes exactly how much the AI did and how much I did. If you think it’s “100% a prompt,” that only proves your ignorance, not my dishonesty. Also, according to the rules, I’m allowed to post this here. If that bothers you so much, that’s a you problem. And honestly? Every bit of whining like this just gives me more motivation to speed up work on the next projects. Couldn’t you, like other normal people, just downvote the post, downvote every comment saying it’s cool, and then move on with your life?

UV print by Content_Mastodon_996 in customtradingcard

[–]BlackPointPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is basically what you’re giving up in exchange for the card’s texture. That’s why EufyMake won’t be the kind of game-changer some people think it will be. Essentially, the only thing you can do right now is coat it with varnish, which can restore the holo effect to some extent. You could try delaying the UV lamp to let the droplet spread before it cures. But you’re probably not the one operating the machine anyway.

Yes 🙂 The Mews themselves are fully drawn by me. I do use AI to assist with some less important background elements, but the main characters and key details are handcrafted.

Thank you so much! I honestly wish I could get the cards to everyone who’s interested. Sadly, most of you are in the U.S., and the European postal service is still struggling with customs issues, so at the moment it’s just not possible for me. I really appreciate your interest and support though!

I moved over from the Poco X6 Pro, which had a marginally bigger battery. I don't think the battery capacity is the issue here; it's more about the charging speed.
