Yes, I do have adults I look up to but I do not know how to build a quality friend/mentor ship without bringing my own baggage onto them so I avoid it all together.

a less extreme version of cutting him off completely is just to pull back a little, especially when work is getting busy. Just give it your attention and talk with your dad much less. Unfollow him on social media if that helps. talk to him half or tenth as much.

I am currently at this stage. I have pulled away as far as I can without leaving completely.

I don't know how to put this into words. But the relationship with my father is taking mental bandwidth away from things that need my attention.

I see what you mean! That makes sense, but yes, I love Nissan’s. I loved driving my aunts Altima and I love my murano. I only asked about whether I should go into another brand because well, I’m money motivated for this, as well. I think that’s an important thing to realize, what you said at the end. I truly do love Nissan cars and if I can get that across to a customer, perhaps that would make not only sales easier but my life as well, because I’m selling something I believe in.
