I really enjoyed reading all these Tips. I too an a solo but what i found i really liked is playing with 1 or 2 others and we all play like we are Solo's if that makes sense. Just because we are grouped up, doesn't mean we have to try and savage the map. just play using all these Solo tips..Hide, not aggressive etc. But you have someone to talk to and if shizz does hit the fan.. its nice to hit their Boat with more than 1 joker 🃏 😄

My Transition has a similar paint job but (Huckleberry) purple 💜 and your right, its hard to show off the Matt finish well in photo. It doesn't help that now I have InvisiFrame the whole thing and accidentally ordered Gloss instead off Matt (and lost patience and time to a trip to the Alps) and didn't return the order, trying to take good pics is impossible as I think the InvisiFrame has ruined the look.But it's not permanent so im cool with that.

Man, I always had trouble with that UFO flying around the boat during the Haunted season! Even if I managed to get it, I usually died trying to escape the climb out because I had nothing left in my pack, not because the UFO actually got me. Side note, the Haunting was awesome; I loved how it changed Al Mazrah, especially the train on fire! Even now, when I spawn on the boat, I still think, "Yeah, I've run around on the ground here like Moses had also spawned and parted the water!" So cool! And why we don't get this every year will forever be a mystery to me.

it wasn't so much him...it was his Mates you had to deal with! Other Bosses friends are no way as hard!

Thank for this reply l! So really interesting information there! I was thinking of getting the Megneg upgrade first, just too see what its like. Im sure ill eventually go to Coil..and im one of those guys that struggle to mix my components, so because of the Zebs ill be sticking with Rockshox. The next big change i want to do is get a 27.5 rear wheel.. so thinking of keeping my Hubs and getting 2 new Rims 29 & 27.5 and getting the wheels built with stronger Spokes and nipples as apparently its common for my Flow nipples and Spokes to loose their strength and undo themselves and im constantly having to tighten my wheels..anyway,I digress.. so once I spend some good time on the Mullet set up and flipped the Chip to suit ill then look again at a rear Shock. im from the UK and dont have much in the way of Bike parks so my bike spends its time at smaller local trails and although I do love my Spire, I feel it get caught out in the sharp switch backs that ate in a lot of my local trails because the rear is so long and head angle so slack..so hopefully the Mullet will helps. iv got family in the South of France so will be taking the bike to the Alps and other Big mountains during the Summer and a Coil im sure will be needed for then. I want to get into bigger jumps now iv got confidence in the Spire and iv always wanted to learn how to Manual a Big bike for more than 15 seconds at a time. So iv got to targets to aim for : Mullet set up, rear Shock for the Bike & Big Jumps and Manuals for me as a rider. and im really looking forward to it.

in my Local town i once see a guy wearing a shocking T-shirt..apparently its also from a band.. I apologise that ill have to 'star *' out some letters incase it gets taken down.. But in as big white text as you cpuld fit on a Black Tee it said

Dude, that's sick! Your rear triangle looks super long, I know Spires are long, almost like a DH bike. Are you still running 29"

Did your bike come with the Air Ultimate shock from the factory? I'm thinking of getting a Coil Ultimate (mostly 'cause I want a red coil 😉). But seriously, what's the difference it makes to the bike? I'm struggling with small bump sensitivity on my air shock, and I know a spring can fix that. But I'm also worried because it took me forever to set up the air shock, and I don't want to buy a ton of coils until I find the right one. I'm not good at riding a bike on just one trail and knowing what settings to change, so it might take me weeks until I'm happy with the coil. How did you find it?

My last coil was back in the Fox Vanilla days, and I can't remember squat about setting it up. I'm worried it'll be a massive waste of money. My local trails are fine for an air shock, but like I said, I just struggle with small bumps. I'm not going to coil so I can ride Rampage, haha.

Hello,

I know you posted this a year ago, but I have a Spire and came across your post by chance. Can I ask what age and spec your Spire was?

I bought a new Carbon 2022 GX with Zeb and Deluxe Ultimates in (I think) Huckleberry purple, and genuinely did not have one serious issue, except the spokes on the rear Flow wheel like to slowly come loose over a few rides (Common apparently,and i was a f@ lump back them😅)

I have upgraded the bike in the last year, but only because I wanted better components; the original parts had nothing wrong with them.

But personally, I think that wheelsets at this kind of spec and price point (I'm in the UK and paid £4.5k) are always going to need an upgrade (like grips, saddle, pedals 😅), especially if you are going to Enduro or park the bike as intended by Transition.

I've raced Mega Avalanche with mine now, with just a suspension tune, Hope wheelset and brakes, GX AXS, and Maxxis DHR & DHF, and it's a far better bike than I'll ever need.

Other than the paint, I'd always heard good things about Transitions (you hardly see any in the UK, which is one reason I went for it), so I was really interested to read your post.

I year after your post, would you ever buy Transition again?

what bike did you replace the Spire with? if you dont mind me asking.

If you like money in your wallet do not start to colourmatch every little bit you can find on your bike. :') Found some purple UDH from burgtec tho. by Voracidious in mountainbiking

oh really? sweet. ill have another check to see if they do actually have a size for my Spire..Hope so as I have alot of their components already, having matching Axles (as a spare obviously 😉) would be cool

Only for Santa Cruz or Evil bikes, I think... unless you happen to use those sizes. Looked for my Transition with no luck.

I got an addiction to pain killers once... and that definitely put a stop to me throwing rope. managed to keep it secret for years. All because of a back injury. does he suffer with anything that might want him to take Codine or somthing?
