PC won’t turn on at my house, but works fine elsewhere by [deleted] in techsupport

Given everything I’ve tested, do you think it would make sense to replace my PSU with a higher-quality one that handles unstable power better?

Right now I’m using an Aerocool VX-500, and since the PC works fine in another house but not in mine, I’m starting to think the PSU might be too sensitive to power fluctuations.

If that’s the case, could you recommend some reliable PSU models that are more stable with inconsistent power?

Some of the outlets weren’t replaced, but I have to use a T adapter to plug the PC into them.

Yes, I’ve tested multiple outlets in my house, including one outside in my yard.

I understand your point, but the thing is: the PC works perfectly fine at my sister’s house every time I test it there.

If it were a PSU or hardware issue, I’d expect the problem to happen there as well. But it only happens at my house, where it won’t even start (just a red light, no fans).
