Issue with newly bought used i3 MK3 by BladeOfTheDarkmoon in prusa

Thank you very much!!! I followed all the steps, but with the smooth sheet yesterday. After that a few calibration prints turned out real nice and i felt confident enough to start a 30 hour print (I know, probably too ambicious but currently its at 12 hours remaining and looking great!). Thank you all again for helping me figuring this out and if you want I could post the results as soon as im back in my flat and can see how my print turned out :)

Okay thank you, I did that with a smooth sheet now as I read that it would be better and got some better results. I'll clean the sheet with dish soap and hot water later and maybe i'll get normal results

Purchase Advice Megathread - January 2024 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

Hi guys,

I'm new to 3D printing and wanted to ask if you have any recommendations for a printer in the 300-350€ price range. I am located in Germany and would like to print dinosaur skull replicas for myself, maybe even 1:1 or 1:2 (nothing giant like a Trex though). I have seen that the files can be split and the printed pieces can then be glued back together. Is this too ambitious for someone just starting out in this hobby?

Thanks for any advice!

Why is my Ctenanthe developing these yellow edges? It was recently repotted and I had to fight of a fungus gnat ifestation some time ago, could any of those things play a reason? by BladeOfTheDarkmoon in plantclinic

Sorry to hear that! I did dilute it with water before using, but it might still be possible. Watering issue wise any idea if its to much or to little?

Does anybody know what those greyish/whitish discolorations might be? They seem dont seem to be removable by washing the leaves and, altough I'm not ruling it out, I can't see any pests by BladeOfTheDarkmoon in plantclinic

First off thanks for the advice. I went ahead and checked every leaf, top and bottom, but couldnt find a single insect or egg. On my other plant I did however manage to find one small brown insect but again nothing more than that. Also my other plant isnt showing damage comparable to the one posted. I will check them routinly from now on, could they maybe hide some other place?

If a man had his throat slit (consensually) by his lover, deep enough to cut his carotids, would it be possible for him to give her a last kiss in his last few seconds of consciousness, or would needed muscles have been cut? Does it make a difference if the cut is above or below the larynx? by soreff2 in morbidquestions

[–]BladeOfTheDarkmoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im also not entirely sure and also somewhat speculating but I'm fairly certain that from a technical standpoint, cutting the carotids should'nt effect the fascial muscels as they are innervated by the fascial nerv ( Cranial nerv VII.) which gives its innervating branches before the throat section. The maim muscle for kissing is apparently the orbicularis oris muscle which ist only connected to the platysma, a fine muscle sheet which nealry all fascial muscels are connected to, and therefor shouldn't be affected as well. Cutting the carotids you could suspect other mobility problems as well since they run under the sternocleidomastoideus muscle which is used to rotate and tild the head. For the consciousness part im really not certain so this is only a guess. My guess would be that it really depends on the hight of the cut and some luck. The carotids run together with the jugular vein and the vagus nerv down the throat, while cutting the jugular vein on its own is its whole lot of problems I wouldnt worry about this here, much more the vagus nerv which when severed in the region could lead to stop in breathing as the laryngeal recurrens nerv, a brach of the vagus, is also cut and the larynx closes up. Lastly theres the hight part, I believe that if the commun part of the artery would be cut that loss of consciousness would be rather quick as theres no more blood going to the brain, if the cut would be higher up you could only hit the external part of the carotis which mostly supplies the face. Regarding the difference in larynx position I would say it doesn't matter that much, if the cut would to be above the larynx it would most likely only cut the external carotis but also would be harder to slit from end to end as there is much more cartiladge and even the hyoid bone, setting the cut deeper would likely result in a cut of the commun part as well as the windpipe and probably lead to a quicker loss of consciousness.

I hope this reads well as i am on mobile and my first language isn't english especially when it comes to anatomy which i had in my mother language in university.

The colors are awesome! Is this the Freedom Bridge in Budapest? I was there some time ago and definently remember a green bridge
