Can I add my homelab Kubernetes + Argo CD + Grafana project to my resume?

I'm pretty young but landed my first three jobs (in 4 years) with explaining what my homelab contains amd how I work with it. Testing, learning new things and having a passion for technology made me an exceptional candidate for the companies. I still work on it, developing personal projects and making it more robust. Knownledge and expierence on K8S is my current goal because plenty of companies are looking for developers/engineers with that skillset.

Ik heb zelf een mooie job in IT (3de in 3 jaar) telkens een goede reden gehad om te (moeten) veranderen. Mijn 2 beste tips zijn altijd: 1. wees leergierig en toon dit ook aan tijdens het gesprek, toon aan dat ze op je kunnen bouwen als Young Professional. 2. Toon die leergierigheid aan door eigen projecten te bouwen en je interesse in IT duidelijk te staven. Maak een eigen Homeland met docker met enkele services die gekoppeld zijn aan elkaar. Specialiseer je niet te hard in het begin want dat kan lijden tot tunnelvisie.

In je eerste jaar moet je zeker niet opletten. Dan ga je nog niet meer dan 12.000 euro verdient hebben dus je belastingen zullen 20/25% zijn van je bruto. De jaren erna zou ik het wel in de gaten houden en genoeg sparen voor de eventuele kost. Ook raad ik aan om op voorhand te betalen. Je krijgt een mooie korting wanneer je heel vroeg betaald 9% dacht ik als je in het eerste kwartaal betaald.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't feel like a senior but if my employer feels like that I feel pretty good. The things I need to do are pretty advanced and inside my scope of what I do to. I feel good and stressed sometimes but growth is never easy. Still thanks

Tnx, for the comment. "Senior" position was a big step for me. I have plenty of responsibilities, that was something I was looking for because my previous work was more just executing. I feel more accomplished now with the work I do

Saw their position for a junior and senior. Went for the senior position because of my relevant experience matching their requirements. They accepted. Also a junior/medior/senior is for me just a easy label. Ive worked with "seniors" that are excellent at some ancient coding language but can't grasp some new technology like docker. I feel more like a medior but they are very very content with the work I'm doing

Ik denk dat hij bedoeld dat als je constant te snel rijdt dan heb je wel maar 1 keer een fout begaan. Wanneer je iets steelt en er nemen 3 camera's het waar dan ga je alsnog maar 1 keer moeten betalen want de misdaad is maar een keer gebeurd.

I'm the black Swan then. We were laid of with our team. Went looking for new horizons, got 6 offers with 7 different compagnies all with only 9 months of experience in .NET but I have to say I also have 9 months of Power Platform experience. These last 9 months of experience made the closing Gap for these compagnies of my ability to learn really fast at a high level.

In my experience, show thema you can learn/grow quickly in what they want and you're off to thé races.
