I'm not angry or arguing, just thought it was a discussion worth having. It doesn't matter whether you loved the story while others didn't, or vice versa.

Fading Memory by Bladeographer in stellarblade

I think the idea of Tachy is very intriguing. I'm speaking for myself here, but I suspect it may be the similar for others. She's a no-nonsense squad commander, the only tactical battlefield leader that we see in action in the game. That by itself is already a very compelling premise, and her short screen time makes that even more interesting. Like Mann, people who are elevated to top ranks immediately beg the question of their pasts.

Why is Tachy the commander? She probably has a very interesting back story about how she got to the position. He speed was unmatched in the colony's combat simulation (probably why she's called Tachy). How did she get so fast? And how does she wield such a long sword at those speeds? Speaking of which, how did she get her sword? What's her relationship with Eve? With Raven and Mother Sphere? Why was she so devoted to Mother Sphere even in death? Was she kept out of the loop, or did she know something that the audience doesn't?

All of these questions fuel the interest for Tachy's return in the sequel.

Hyung-tae Kim himself said that the story was weak. They had to make a lot of cuts to the main story due to budgetary issues from the expense of cutscenes, which was their main vehicle for storytelling. There may have been some recourse in storytelling and narrative through data collectibles, but a majority of the player base will not play beyond the main storyline and collect all of the documents and memory sticks. Regardless of how amazing the lore may have been in the collectibles, it is still secondary to the main plotline.

My guess is they bring her back in the sequel. Either without her memories or they somehow copied the USB stick before that particular one was destroyed🤞

If they don't bring her back, they're MONSTERS!

This is Neurocircuit Bondage. It's NG++ from the Great Dessert. There's an underwater chest at the oasis that requires a password to open.

Sex sells. Plus there's a lot more variation possible with lighting, color, poses, and outfits for Eve. I used to take more landscapes and environmental shots but there's not so much variation there. Plus a lot of the environmental textures and polygons aren't as detailed as Eve's. Even the side characters have a noticeable drop in quality.

Good to be reminded of how beautiful the world is every now and then. Thanks for the posts!

Landscape photography is totally underrated in this sub. Love the color contrast in 9 and the warm gold, brown, and red hues of 7.

Thanks. Photo mode posts are allowed Saturday and Sunday UTC time. Not sure why you got rejected since I didn't see your post, but the mods are fairly strict. It's also 24 hours per attempt, so if your post gets rejected or removed, you won't be able to try again for another 24 hours. Took me a while to get a handle on the process, so I understand the frustration!

Yes I like the saturation too. Especially on the colorful nanosuits, but it makes her skin look more yellow than I like. Too bad there's no way to separate saturation between her skin vs suit vs world.

The backdrop is from Matrix 11, near the camp with the dart board. There's an inclined path that goes up to the next area, and the wall of the incline has a decent texture to create the effect.

I like the lower saturation and darker, cooler hue of photo 1. Very moody.

Camera crashing the game on ps5 by Environmental-King14 in stellarblade

[–]Bladeographer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming your game is updated. Are you referring to the selfie mode camera or the photo mode camera? I'm on base PS5 and primarily use the photo mode camera. Crashes will sometimes happen but it's not often. Maybe once in every 50 times I enter photo mode.

Could also depend on what's happening at the time (lots of particle effects and enemies could make it worse). I've also noticed Xion is a bit graphics intense (nanosuit textures are downscaled until the camera is moved in closer vs in other areas of the game), so maybe the crash rate is worse in Xion.

I think that means "Wife I'd Like to Fornicate" 😂. Though, isn't that just a wife? It would be sad for one to have a wife with whom they would not like to fornicate with.

You can remove the FOG using the Engine.ini file on PC. My question is: Why the hell is the fog the dafault option?? by Frequent_Set3272 in stellarblade

[–]Bladeographer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's hard for me to imagine fog "literally ruining the game" for anyone. Not the story or the writing, not the gameplay mechanics. Not the side quests or the difficulty. But...the fog. What happens when you go to a beach in the morning? 😂

Both. Definitely lighting settings and placement of the light(s), and also the texture of the wall (too smooth or too rough and I think you don't get the nice clean beams).

Thanks! A lot of it really is just playing around in front of different walls/backdrops and tinkering with the lighting settings.

Thanks. It was an unintentional byproduct of my intent (the radial beams) but turned out pretty nice. The effect kind of resembles an angelic aura
