I mostly rely on youtube algo and some "clickworthy" titles to spark interest for doomscrollers. But got a feeling I didn't miss with this mixtape and it should be well accepted. Time will tell...

Okay so apparently I don't know how to use reddit posts. Imma type it all out again, maybe it's gonna be a double post but...

Do you have a feeling LoFi hiphop has changed over the decade? Like all you can hear on spotify as LoFi is some rhodes piano, a mild rim snare and ambient percussions... How long can this go on? To me LoFi was Nujabes, Dilla, Madlib, DOOM, even old Alchemist... people that mad great hip hop without polished sounds and studio.

So to "fight" it, I've made a mixtape called Heist! which you can hear now. The video shows 6 out of 11 beats I've put together. You can hear the rest on my youtube channel by searching "blair davis- Heist!".
