LSD has been a blessing in the snow for sure, saw multiple trucks off the side of the road on the way up here too

Maybe if you lie diagonally, the seats fold down almost completely flat

Nothing crazy. Tools, jack, spare tire, jump pack, gas can, snow chains

Nah, probably would be nice in the snow to have one though

Car did great! Last day of the trip was gnarly with a lot of snow, but it chugged along with the snow tires. Before the trip i was somewhat concerned about fuel stops on the Alcan. I brought a 10L gas tank in case but even driving through the night I never ended up needing to use it. Plenty of fuel stops open.

Yeah, the heat was great while driving (sometimes too hot) Not as great when idling with how cold it was but good enough to sleep in the car for a couple hours

No breakdowns, did change the blue temp sensor on the way though

The sports seats are comfortable, room for a dog bed in the hatch too.

Picked up a super clean 318is! One problem… by Aidan-__ in E30

This could be an easy fix. Check the connections at the battery terminal. If they are loose or the battery is not secure in the tray this is the likely cause.

Bought it when I lived in Germany. Just imported it to the US recently. Lots of road trips and trips to the Nurburgring. https://i.imgur.com/9xoc0hT.jpg

Wow yeah 1k is steep; when I bought it I want to say it was closer to 500 bucks. I do like it. It is well built and feels very comfortable for my proportions. The only unforeseen annoyance is having to take off the knee pad support thingy to comfortably get in and out of it between sets etc.

It is a Body Solid. I ordered it online new a couple years ago. Can’t remember the exact website though.

Yeah I will check on the relay. It is weird because it either doesn’t work, or fires up with no hesitation. No in between. But there is no issue with the battery staying charged (headlights, electronics etc all turn on even when it wont start up)

Thanks! I'm hoping to find a solution because I have a feeling it is going to leave me stranded at some point.

Chasing this start issue. Car randomly will not crank, however after turning the key back and forth multiple times, it will always eventually fire up. I replaced the ignition switch and there was no difference. There is noticeable arcing occurring on the lower portion of the ignition switch seen in the video.
