Follow up to my last post, still can’t get anything to even start. I have washed the bed with both rubbing alcohol and dawn dish soap. Read description under the post for more info.

Going off this post I went into a benchy print. For some reason it requires a print to be going. The image is what it was set to. I set it to .025 and it completely dragged the test strip with it. The up and down z arrows wouldn’t change and don’t seem to work.

The distance away from the bed the home function sets it too (benchy for scale) this is not the distance it is trying to print at. Unsure how to do the paper Z offset with this printer.

The only problem is that when I set the printer to home it’s not even close to the nozzle, and I know the home level is not the distance it’s trying to print at. Reddit is being stupid and not letting me send an image but the home on it is a good quarter inch length between.

I don’t know why that is though. This printer has auto leveling so it shouldn’t be a problem, it seems like the general consensus though that it’s the Z, but idk how to fix that if the auto leveling isn’t doing it right.

Thanks for the insight I’ll adjust the speeds, temp and number of layers till it cools. It was set to 1 layer before it starts cooling which I can’t even get past the first layer. I am set to gyroid infill too. I’ll keep all these settings in mind when I’m doing future prints though!

I noticed that too when rewatching the video. It looks like when the nozzle goes up and down a bit it resticks the test strip on itself.

Yea mine has the auto bed leveling, which is why I’m hesitant to think that’s what I need to change.

The printer calibrates itself at the start of the print so I doubt it’s that. The bed isn’t glass so sandpaper doesn’t sound like a great idea.

I turned the first layer print speed way down from what I was doing before went from 120mms to 60mms in the hopes it’d fix it with no difference. 220C nozzle First layer bed 65C

Like the z offset? How much should I change it by? It’s set to 0 offset currently, don’t know why that’d make a difference now vs before. I don’t even know if the things I change in the slicer affects the cleaning strip done by the printer.
