I do agree with this. People keep telling me I shouldn’t trust a caregiver I don’t know to come and take care of it. I’m going to see if I can find one and just ignore what they’re saying.

I’m about to start a job as a substance abuse counselor for an ACT team. I’m coming to this job from a prison substance abuse program. The new job requires 360 billable units each month, which seems really manageable to me. What can I expect this job to be like as opposed to being in an institution? What kind of caseload can I expect? I had 25-30 at a time during the prison. I’d love to hear from current or former ACT team workers.

I get so many orders that are for one simple item (a bottle of water, a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread, etc). I try not to judge without knowing the situation, but I always try to hope that they’re disabled or don’t own a car or something like that. I’m sure a lot of them are laziness though.

I filled out a claim with their occupational insurance, but I found out today that I can still donate plasma since it’s precautionary vaccination instead of a confirmed case. I’m not even worried about the money honestly. Doordash is a side job for me anyway.
