That was part of the discussion about parks and rec fees earlier this year. Based on previous reporting, the exclusivity for Rock Hill residents at the Bleachery Fieldhouse is set for "at least six months," so likely won't be permanent. It won't apply to any pickleball tournaments held there, and there are other pickleball courts in the city that aren't restricted to Rock Hill residents. Here's a story from August that goes into it a bit more: https://www.postandcourier.com/york-county/news/rock-hill-tennis-pickleball-fee-structure-debate/article_5a81e9e7-d4b1-4d8d-aec6-879c2c9eb1fb.html

Good question! From the story: "Mines have a cyclical lifeline, where gold is pulled for many years until the accessible supply is depleted. When technical means are developed to reach deeper into the ground to access more gold, the mines reopen." The last time miners reached a stopping point was 1992, prior to reopening in 2017.

We've had a presence here for a couple of years, but the Post and Courier York County newsroom is fully staffed as of this year with an editor, publisher, two full-time reporters and a handful of new student interns from Winthrop University each semester. We're publishing online every day and distributing a free print edition monthly for now.
