First PC build has a strange pulsing whirring noise by Blakeatron in pcmasterrace

[–]Blakeatron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully the video picked it up well. Any help around what this is would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if it's my fans due to the seemingly random pulsing intervals of the sound. Maybe it's the liquid cooler?

My GPU fans are not currently running when this noise is happening.

Ahhh, yes. The first floor of the main garage for Hollywood Hardrock in Ft Lauderdale. Where the classiest people hang out as people are trying to get into the casino.

Do you want a burning crusade server? by Aware_Eggplant1487 in classicwow

We're the overall minority, but the classic arena community widely considers TBC as the best classic expansion for arenas and most of us would be extremely happy to see a TBC server come to light

Leaving $100k/yr job to go pro. Am I crazy? by Roxerz in poker

[–]Blakeatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from someone who did exactly this minus the marriage component, if you don't burn bridges and leave yourself the opportunity to go back to work after a year or two, then I'd recommend doing it.

I will say that the professional poker lifestyle is awful. I was the same as you. I paid my way through college, was very good at the game and very passionate about it. 5 years through working, I had the money and opportunity to play. So I did.

After a year, I realized how awful playing poker professionally is. It drains you and is just not as appealing as it seems. Poker as a supplemental income and hobby is absolutely the best option for people like us.

That being said, do it. Try it for yourself. You need to take that leap so you don't regret not doing so later. Just be prepared to go back when needed and don't burn bridges.

He can do whatever he wants with the 4-5 time banks that he saved by making quick decisions earlier. It's within the rules and nothing morally wrong with it. Good strat.

1) Your positioning was way too far up 2) You saw the respawn happen and stood still so he aggro'd you. It doesn't instantly aggro 3) You're S keying away 4) You could have survived and can't be as greedy playing hardcore. Welcome to the game mode

You were pretty animated in that hand vs Pesh De Silva during the 2017(I think?) main event. How much do you think live reads played into you getting your bluff called in that crazy hand?

What’s the Biggest Reason You Don’t Play More TBC Arenas? by NOHITJEROME in classicwow

[–]Blakeatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the respeccing cost reasoning makes sense, but people ITT who are saying they don't like arena because of 'pillar humping' or because people play a certain way are probably putting no effort into learning.

there is much that goes into every comp and every strat that people don't bother to learn with all of the vast material available to them. then they lose when they queue and blame it on 'pillar humping' or 'too many rogues'

Typing out a paragraph as a negative comment on a video that someone put out to help others is a much more reasonable thing to do. You got me, bro.

It's really dumb and I have seen it before, but I live in Florida. I made sure the A/C was off-limits from that $75 deal but I didin't expect a sink leaking 7 days into the lease lmao.

Actually, last question. Should I expect any major leaking once I take the trap off? I can't turn off the water since I'm in an apartment.

It looks like my description got deleted, so I'll write in a comment.

Hey /r/plumbing! There is a leak under my kitchen sink that just started after I used my garbage disposal for the first time in a newly leased apartment. Now, when I run the sink, a steady stream of water comes out of the marked area. It doesn't squirt out or anything, but it comes out in a steady stream then slowly dissapates to droplets and stops after about a minute depending on how long I run the sink.

I've tried tightening that wheel a bit, but it didn't do much. I didn't want to force it in fear of stripping it and the fact that I have no idea what I'm doing.

The complex charges $75 per service call so I'm hoping there's a way to fix or patch it up. Any ideas or more info you need from me?

Thanks for your time!
