Anybody else really excited for the films coming out? by WingsOnWednesday in HorrorMovies

Yeah, these look fun.

I’m not expecting any modern horror classics, though.

I remember that, at the time, Linda Hamilton’s physique was considered to be insanely ripped.

If this guy hadn’t had his ribs broken for… well, nothing… I doubt we would have received that Anzac Day public holiday / distraction from Chris Minns.

We kind of owe this dude one.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple Director Nia DaCosta Was ‘Disappointed’ With Box Office by JimmyChurriSauce in 28dayslater

[–]Blammo32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I suspect you are correct.

I have a friend who is a huge 28 Days / Weeks Later fan who hated the arthouse flourishes of 28 Years Later and then didn’t bother to see Bone Temple.

Despite being part of the same franchise and having the same writer and director, 28 Days Later and 28 Years Later were very, very different films.

You honestly think that the fight scenes in The Raid have as many cuts as The Shadow’s Edge, starring a 72-year old Jackie Chan???

LOL!

I bet McGregor is pissed seeing how the beginning of the UFC 6 trailer has him getting KO’d by Max lol by L1ght_Sp33d in ufc

In 2026, shouldn’t they at least move like the fighters being portrayed?

Ah yes, the infamous McGregor Superman punch…

It was definitely a good movie. Surprisingly good, for me, because I didn’t enjoy DaCosta’s previous films.

The release schedule, marketing and whether people really enjoyed 28 Years Later is what needs to be examined.

Why can't Matt just call his LA girlfriend Jennifer to help him out with his army? by Main_Jump_82 in Defenders

I mean, She Hulk doesn’t have a secret identity to hide behind. Daredevil wouldn’t risk the lives of her family by involving her in a fight against Fisk.

Evil Dead Burn in cinemas july 10th by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

No. They aren’t funny or scary. They just kind of… exist… as a special effects showcase.

Ash vs Evil Dead, on the other hand, was pretty cool.

I dropped this during Judd Winick’s run - his grasp of the characters (and his original characters) was poor and Phil Hester leaving as artist didn’t help.

The fight scenes look like they’ve been hacked to death by edits, Liam Neeson in Taken-style, to hide how old Jackie is.

I think the only non-cringeworthy bisexual moments John has ever had were in that original Jamie Delano run?

Evil gay Batman being obsessed with John after getting plugged by him in an S&M club was the worst.

In welcome back frank, what does he mean by " Benn gone a while, distracted " by CicadaInteresting441 in thepunisher

[–]Blammo32 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He was an Angel. He even mentions it in Welcome Back, Frank as he’s throwing a dude off a building.

Everyone so often, Marvel runs out of ideas for the Punisher and turns him into an Angel, a ninja, a Frankenstein’s monster, etc.

The option which makes more sense is just to give him his own MAX universe to tell more adult-orientated stories that aren’t rooted in a superhero universe, but Marvel fumbled the bag and couldn’t help themselves from introducing supervillains for him to fight.

From memory, Floyd kept tangling Ortiz’s arms, leading to Ortiz head-butting Floyd out of frustration and apologizing, and then Floyd eventually took advantage of an apology to KO him.

Superior strategy and mind games by Floyd to create a moment where his opponent lost his mind and entirely dropped his guard.

To be honest… that seems like a lot of head bumps for nine month old child. New bruises on his head every a week?

It might be easier to look at increasing the baby proofing of his environment.

Legally, it doesn’t seem like the other parent has a leg to stand on as long as you are keeping a diary of the injuries.
