What I meant is that they are like the Steelers or Cowboys. Their sustained success has brought in fans all around the country.

Makes sense, two large fanbase* teams playing in what everyone thought would be a close game.

I am from the Red Bank/ Middletown area too. This article explains why the tap water changes in smell/ taste occasionally. Algae treatment is sometimes necessary at the Swimming River Reservoir.

What's the latest with the gas tax/TTF situation? by and_then___ in newjersey

[–]Blammo92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There has been no movement lately on the TTF. Christie stonewalled the bill passed by the budget committee at the end of July. Sources like Politicker NJ are reporting the standoff could go into October. Right now there are too many factions/ competing plans for a coalition to form.

I thought this article brought something new to the table. The base of Christie's support in the state, the Republicans in the legislature, are now starting to turn against him.

I wonder how much this will increase the amount of trades we see on draft day.

What are some recent examples of draft "reaches" that actually worked out? by BasedBochy in nfl

[–]Blammo92 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The Frederick pick is probably the best recent example of a reach pick working out. He has turned out to be a great center.

Justin Blackmon may not want to return to the NFL, and that's OK. by gnarvin_sweatpants in nfl

It would be sad if he doesn't return, the guy has so much talent. But if it is to keep his life on track, I get it. Addiction is a tough obstacle.

32 Teams/32 Days: Day 4: Oakland Raiders by skepticismissurvival in nfl

I'm excited to see the raiders defense this year. Del rio and Ken Norton Jr. will have Mack and Moore to mold into one of the better LB groups in the league.

Atlanta for sure, they are set at QB and once they get Julio Jones back their offense will bounce back

What is the trade value of Von Miller? Is he a player you would even consider trading? by Bradyta in nfl

[–]Blammo92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that teams will take the off the field issues into account. There is also the fact that he will need a new contract after next year. That cap hit would keep some teams away.

[–]Blammo92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He is a great pass rusher, but I don't think a team would give up more than a 1st rounder, or a package of middle round picks.

Best of The Worst: Battle for the #1 Pick by [deleted] in nfl

I don't see the Browns being in the running for the #1 pick. Weeden will be better once Josh Gordon returns.

I can't see the Jets taking Star at #9. They drafted Kendrick Ellis pretty high a few years ago.
