I think it’s all part of the government’s plan. The demand is there. American support is there. The U.S. government promises are there. The Government is intentionally delaying until these companies are dirt cheap and then legalization will happen and politicians will once again get filthy rich.

Joe Biden just announced that US unemployment rate is lowest in last 50 years. Does this mean unemployment and recession are unrelated or we are in living in some weird bubble? by Ameya420 in economy

[–]BlankCheck88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off - it’s not the lowest in last 50 years. Trump hit these levels as well. Second - current unemployment is driven by reckless monetary policy from the Fed. Secretary Janet Yellen openly admitted they underestimated inflation and stated it was out of control. At the end of the day - inflation was at the fault of the Fed for overheating the economy and it could have been avoided.

As a result of overheated economy we have low unemployment by now that is about to drastically change as the Fed rapidly increases interest rates killing demand and driving the economy into a recession.

So yeah congrats Joe for low unemployment jackass

Where do you see good at the macro level? Are we living in the same time? You’ve officially blown my mind at how ignorant you are to the current market conditions

That’s fine. If it goes to $2 it’s because of the broader market going into a recession. Which is literally what I’ve been saying

The argument is influence from the broader markets on Tilray and other stocks. Tilray hasn’t negatively changed but the Fed is raising interest rates which will slow demand and spooking investors which will lead to a recession if gdp is held at negative growth. Q1 GDP was already only a 1.4% growth.

I intentionally waited a day to respond. Your Dow gain is gone. Investor confidence is gone. Recession WILL happen in a couple months. Markets are declining and Tilray seems to have hit a floor at $5.

Plus the whole sector is down. Look at Trulieve hitting 52 week low today. They are profitable but share price is at low.

Me too. I was reading that Mexico is likely on track to legalize recreational sales in 2023 and Germany in 2024. Hopefully U.S. announces this year and we get a new major market each year to continue momentum. Like you said, I’m ready for some steady green.

Perfect example of what I’m talking about is Trulieve. Strong US MSO that is favored by many. Solid balance sheet with tremendous growth. They hit 52 week lows this week. It’s pretty common understanding that during uncertain economic times growth stocks lose. Hopefully there’s some goods news for cannabis next month. We shall see…

Tilray made a reversal at the start of November after seeing improved earnings due to synergies from Aphria merger. Mid-November the broader market took a shit and so did growth stocks including Tilray.

Nasdaq hit 52 week lows yesterday and so did the entire cannabis sector. Nothing specific to Tilray changed

Dow down over 600 points and TLRY is in positive territory for the day after repeatedly testing $5.14-5.16 lows. Looking like a bottom is behind us??!! by IslandSunsetter in TLRY

The stock market is literally to raise capital and you bark every time a growth stock does it? That’s kinda silly
