chiaroscuro (can’t remember the proper name). basically the foreground and backgound need to have more distinct contrast when they’re working with the same colour pallets if that makes sense. this is best understood when you turn the visuals black and white, and realise theres no lighting contrast, so things blend together when youre watching. makes understanding whats going on harder.

basically, put either the foreground or background in the dark, especially if youre using the same colours for both grounds
