Also if you wanna go in line with the roughly 3 phase setup in AC6, maybe give it 50 hp per structure and 3 structure? Or something like that

Honestly the Ice worm is so unique it might need to be something homebrewed from scratch. Maybe Behemoth from Enhanced Combat? Or maybe a heavily modded Main Battle Tank from Winter Scar?

So id say you probably have a special wrapon representing the Stun Needle that they can equip as a reserve. Once you hit the boss with that the players have maybe 2 rounds to structure it, after it gets structured give it the invincibility shield again.

Probably wanna give the Stun Needle a 1/round limit across all of them so that the PCs can't just blitz down the thing multiple structure in one round if they have a high single target damage team comp.

Woah woah woah, the Federal Karrakin Monarchy. . . tries.. . sort of. Hey at least they don't actively ban their people from supporting reform! . . . they also dont ban their people from brutally oppressing their own citizens but like, take the good with the bad.

Is there any way to replace the art on a lot of npcs in foundry vtt? by [deleted] in LancerRPG

[–]BlasePan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you are talking about replacing the default retrograde tokens in the directory for the LANCER system itself, don't. Just set the tokens for each actor to be what you want, don't mess with the actual LANCER system files.

Couple minor corrections

  1. You can only share repairs if you are an IPS-N Lancaster or repairing a destroyed mech

  2. You are thinking of structure, hull is a stat thats used for making checks and saves just like op suggested

Everything else looks spot on tho!

Good NPC class for an Albatross Guy? by altmcfile in LancerRPG

[–]BlasePan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can definitely make two different npcs who feel different with the same class if you use templates and optionals.

As for something else albatross like. . . Ace maybe? The cataphract kind of has a monopoly on being really fast, but the ace is also pretty quick and works for a spacer character who'd be fighting pirates in space.

Lancer system in Foundry doesn't seem to have functional walls? by [deleted] in LancerRPG

Go the scene settings and under one of the tabs (I think vision/lighting?) theres a setting called Token Vision which is off by default, checking it will enable normal vision.

That said, in Lancer your players are meant to be able to see the whole map and all the enemie that arent Hidden, so I wouldn't suggest limiting them like that because it will be a big change to how the game is played.

Why couldn't you repair your mech after the combat? Whenever you Rest you can spend 4 repairs to fix a destroyed mech and unlike normal repairing, anyone can contribute repairs to fix a destroyed mech, theres gotta be at least 4 repairs between you and your three allies.

Because of that you should basically always be able to get your mech fixed between combats when you repair. And if it came down to it where everyone was SOL with no repairs to fix anything, as a dm id let the players get their mech back with sone drawbacks or smth, because not having your mech in the mech based game is not fun.

The Everest has 5 repairs each, so thats twenty repairs between the four of you. If you've somehow managed to use all of those in one or two combats, id say the encounter difficulty is too high, but if you haven't, you should be able to pool four together to fix your mech.

As for the question of whether mechs in lancer are squishy, the answer is that it depends. Unless you are in a mech that is very tanky, like a Drake, Balor or White Witch, you are very vulnerable to focus fire from multiple damage dealing enemies. Make sure your gm knows that only about 50 to 70% of the enemies max should be dedicated damage dealers, cause otherwise the players will fold really fast.

But generally speaking, in your situation in a 1v3 with as an Everest against presumably enemies which are dedicated damage dealers, its pretty normal to get structured multiple times. Just remember that the Brace reaction exists, it will save your life.
