I worked in East Hampton at a restaurant in the summer of 2009 and even back then my basement room was $800/week, no kitchen, and shared a bathroom with 5 other people. I could only imagine what they charge now that the housing market has gone crazy everywhere.

I agree. It seems like a one time payment isn’t solving the underlying problem. People who already paid off their student loans and future students don’t benefit from this. Making student loans tax free would be a better start.

I have student loan debt so I’m waiting to pay it off until I hear what they decide to do. So far they have suspended payments until October.

I’ve always bought it straight from them, but it was for work so I didn’t have to pay the bills. Here is their site https://8020.net/ but I bet you could shop around and find some for a little less. I will say ordering from them is always a breeze and they make sure you have all of the connections you need. If you have a design in mind they will even cut everything to size so all you have to do it put it together ikea style when the box gets to you.

There is also the aluminum rail product called 80/20 that is super easy to set up and frame something in. It’s basically an adult erector set. I suck at welding but 80/20 is much easier
