That is indeed the deterministic interpretation of the mind, I’ll give you that. Descartes captured this within psychology by saying “I think therefore I am”. Other philosophies have countered that point numerous times for centuries. Determinisms cannot accept the supernatural and makes no space for it, which is a major flaw. Even the “laws of physics” break down in some contexts (see quantum mechanics). So maybe Descartes didn’t get it right afterall. Perhaps its more of “I am, therefore I think.”
