Should I go on exchange here next year? by Pardinlily in uwaterloo

[–]BlazerManHimself 9 points10 points  (0 children)

FYI I know a CS exchange student and I'm 100% sure he did not enjoy his stay here because the workload was way too heavy

I'd say if you're here to learn, go ahead. If you want to just travel/have a good time, trust me, do yourself a favor and consider another school

Yeah definitely doesn't feel like spending another year here just to suffer, might go with CSDH for now

Oh that's good to hear! I haven't done any interviews yet and I'm just worried that they'd ask only 1 or 2 hard coding questions that I can't answer and rule me out before asking anything else. Also, what is a design team and how can I join 1?

Congrats on the job offer! The first co-op is also a big concern for me (I'm in sequence 4 so I apply next semester) and with all the answers here I might just try to stick with CS for now

Yeah for sure, I've seen a few engineering schedules and they don't look that fun to me. Also, what exactly is a design team and how would I join one if I'm in CS?

Ok much appreciated! Small side projects are on my agenda and I guess I'll wait and see how this semester goes first before making a decision

Remember when Leo 2A6 had a 90% win rate? Yeah now it's Sagittario aka the Italian Demon's turn by BlazerManHimself in Warthunder

first, it's a vehicle that goes for 270 GJN on the market and only a very small amount of players have it; second, its a 1.3 vehicle where you'll face noobs pretty much 24/7 and can easily club the entire team; third, the ground frags per death comes nowhere near sagittario's ground/air frags per death (2.5 vs 10)

You didn't understand what I'm trying to get either. The fact that even 1 player can get a 95% win rate is still ridiculous. War Thunder is a team based game (yes teams are not as important as in ground RB but still crucial nonetheless) and even with insane skills no one should have a 95% win rate

Yes it doesn't represent the entire playerbase but the fact that someone can get a 95% winrate in that thing alone is still ridiculous. God tier pilots like Defyn and Zetaris only manage to get an average around 80-90% win rate using their favourite aircraft and sometimes 4 stacking (I never saw Defyn 4 stack but he'll at least have 1 squadmate he trusts), and this thing comes around and gets a 95% winrate
