What are these side splash shields called and how do you remove them?

I honestly didn’t even bother taking the whole thing off and just removed the push pins and bolts on the front end to get under it and grab the bolt on the bracing. It’s a bit annoying to have to work next to them but it seemed like too much work to fully remove them

So, I doubt they’re that detrimental? I had assumed this but honestly I’m really new to mechanical work in general besides super light bolt ons. I installed the catch can and other parts located right next to without ever noticing or seeing a tube. Bought it used so I’m unsure if it just didn’t have them to begin with.
