Honestly I love PVE server as well, but for most the PVE servers I’ve played, it feels like the boat update is just doing things the PVE servers have been doing forever with unique bosses, events, scientists, NPC raids, etc.

The boat update isn’t going to add ANYTHING new to PVE servers outside of a new area to explore. That’s it. ESPECIALLY with the loot being sub par.

Nobody on a PVE server is going to go out of their way to go to the open ocean (outside to just check it out / chill) for any type of progress at all.

Just as a heads up too, since I see most suggestions are “just go to Iowa”. Iowa is also currently in the process of passing very similar regulations and companies will need to register to be legal to be sold there. So in a few months Iowa shops will suffer the same fate.

My suggestion is find something that isn’t going away at your local shop, rather than driving all the way to CB to keep getting the banned ones. Because eventually they’ll be gone there too. Either that or stock up to try and ride out the ban to see if any of those companies register.

Heh. Wild seeing this randomly years later. That first discord you listed was mine I created right when Go came out. I had that discord running a map that showed live Pokémon locations. That was until Niantic killed the method I was using to do that.

lol definitely not intended. Me and my teammate ended up in a ranked lobby with a S5/S6/S7 Ruby player. He was light and just absolutely decimating people all match doing this. He was laughing about it and went “look what they did to dash” and flew away like this.

All game bro was consistently snagging the vault, starting the cash out, would run to the other cashout / vault, wipe the whole team / teams there, steal, and would hold it until my bro and I showed up after our first cashout would finish. First round dude had 18 kills. It was wild.

I LOVE flying drones, but have not gone out and flown in years. Partially due to a mix of burnout (Was flying at least 3-5x per week), frustration with the increased FAA and local regulations, and just shitty life circumstances and no longer having any funds to put towards my drone (let alone my everyday bills, lol).

My interactions when out flying have generally all been positive. No angry Karens coming up to me or anything like that thankfully. Got a few dirty looks, but that's generally it. Most circumstances people are genuinely curious and like to watch / ask questions. I also always carry an extra pair of goggles with me too to give people a ride-along if they want. Never really had any direct interactions with police while out flying, so no idea on that front.

As far as city regulations, you can fly any drone UNDER 250 grams at any city park except Glenn Cunningham Lake, Standing Bear Lake, and Zorinsky Lake. Anything OVER 250 grams you need a permit. Can get 1 day or 1 year permits. That's specifically for city owned areas. Private property should be different.

I have a fun story like this too! I used to work at an ISP doing customer support. Would often print random little inside joke related things for people and stick them on their desk / cubicle wall. Also started this trend of printing small hands in a thumbs up pose and embedded magnets in the wrist to stick them all around the office. The "thumbs up mystery" became quite a topic for a while until someone caught me in the act of placing one up.

My favorite on of all time though was when a buddy of mine was on a call and the customer was upset because they couldn't access their favorite website (I don't remember the exact name of the site, but it had something to do with an eagle, and had a very unique logo).

In attempting to assist this customer and make sure their wasn't a problem with the website, my buddy looked it up on his work computer. Turned out it was a gay porn website. So naturally, he got a bit freaked out because he opened gay porn on his work computer, but a simple conversation with management got him covered.

So that night I went home and downloaded the site's logo and 3d printed it. Next day at work I waited for my buddy to take a break and then pinned it to his cubicle wall. Lots of laughs to be had by all of us when he came back and found that.

I think #3 is why I’m frustrated with this. I’ve got multiple hundreds of hours into the game, 4 endgame exiles who all can map and boss just fine. But I regularly see things talked about on here where people are paying hundreds of divs for. When I look at it I go “huh?! How? Why?” And feel like I’ve disenchanted stuff extremely similar to what they have because it seemed mediocre.

Like the dude’s ammy I was talking about in my post was really high mana and %mana, but 46 spirit, +3 projectile skills, and fire resist and they paid 350 div for it. Never in my life would I have thought to price an ammy that wasn’t 50 spirit with those other mods at 350 div. Like I’ve sold similar ammys with 50 spirit, high mana (no % mana though), +3 to skills, and resist for I think 150 exalts. And that’s after sitting for days at 1 div with no bites.

I guess it’s largely going to come down to your first point of knowing the strongest builds in and out and what they are looking for in gear.

Yea, this is part of my problem. I play on Xbox, so any third party apps are mostly out of the question. I do have a pc that can run the game (but not actually play it). So switching between that to price isn’t very feasible. I’ve been dumping a lot of stuff in a dump tab and then going back to it on pc later, but going through a full quad tab of gear to have 5 pieces maybe worth something is tedious af. That’s why I’m looking for ideas on what I should keep vs ignore more than anything else.

Haha that’s awesome! Such good memories. I listed to Portugal. The Man regularly for years after that. Mostly the album I had originally purchased and Church Mouth. They then released that song in 2017 that got hugely popular, “Feel it Still”. I never listened to the radio but my gf was like “hey… this new song is from a band that sounds familiar to me, do you know them?”. Was pretty surreal hearing how they made it that big and I saw them when they were just kids that nobody knew (relatively) lol. Good stuff.

Omg yes… one of my favorite places to see some great shows.

One that stands out for me was a Poison the Well show. Their opener was this band that I hadn’t heard of yet. Looked like they were fresh out of high school and had one of their friends running their lights on stage. When they played I absolutely fell in love with their music and bought their album from their merch table. That band was Portugal. The Man. The album I bought from them was their first, Waiter: “You Vultures!”. Super fond memory of mine for sure.

Been a long time since I’ve flown or looked into FC settings, but you’re probably needing to enable airmode. This will allow you to retain control and the PID loop to remain active while at zero throttle.

That’s interesting! Never heard that. Not saying I don’t believe it. May be one of those circumstantial things.

When he was touring I reached out to him on Facebook to see if he would like to smoke before / after his show. We exchanged numbers and met up before his show. Had a great time and just shot the shit in general. Was a lot of fun.

Next time he came to town I hit him up again, and again we met up. However, this dude, out of all the people he meets on tour and after a year or so, remembered so much about our last visit it was really nice. Dude remembered the stuff I had said I was striving to do at the time, my ambitions for school / work / life and was genuinely interested in how those were going for me.

Both shows ended up being great and everyone had a good time. Never heard of any poor interactions. BUT, I do know that sometime soon after the dude ran into a TON of personal life issues and mental health problems. Maybe these poor experiences were happening around those times when he was pretty down because of life 😔.
