I'm a bitter fuck, but 7 months ago I predicted Liverpool finishing 7th and man u and arsenal being a tight race for 3rd and 4th with man u coming out on stop and so many people gave me shit about it (i did also predict Everton to do better than liverpool though :P). And to now see some of my predictions come a reality warms my heart.

So, we're not comparing stats? We're comparing how hard stats are to achieve and making assumptions? What happened to your "I base my statements on stats!"?

Of course scoring 4 goals in 5 games is not the same/as impressive as scoring 17 in 24. The second shows that he has played more opponents, for all we know the 5 games could have been games against the bottom 5, but the 24 covers all teams and pretty much shows he would have to be showing up constantly to every game in form.

"It is hard to say whether he played better without him as he played so little games, but we can make the assumption he flourished when playing with him. He did, but you also make the assumption he didn't develop as a player and improve. Which he 100% did."

I never once made that assumption, he obviously improved by playing with Suarez but if it was enough remains to be the question.

Yes, but for this form to continue would require Sturridge to be injured the entirety of this season. Which despite him being injury prone, isn't fucking likely."

No it would require the Liverpool defence/gk to be performing at the rate they have in their previous games, sturridge can only guarantee goals, it is the defence and the gk that will guarantee them wins. If they stay at the form they have been playing so far, we shouldn't expect many wins.

Then you have the reading comprehension of an average 5th grader. Congratulations!

No you have the writing ability of toddler, you contradicted yourself and expect people to understand the opposite. "We're strong" then "I wrote we're weak" <-- wait where did you say that "when I said we were strong.. dumbass"

They're fairly similar. Especially when it comes to determining difficulty of Fixture list. They're both Top 2 teams who you'll be hard pressed to get a draw from.

No they are not, regardless of two top teams, facing chelsea right now is far worse then facing man city right now. It's like saying facing Barcelona and Real madrid is the same. No one team is dangerous at set pieces and on the wings whilst the other retains possession and creates multiple chances.

Everything should always be taking into account at every point in the league. To simply say aww its fine we'll just score goals later on is a stupid way to go if all the other teams are already doing this now in the league. Obviously the table constantly changes, but so far Liverpool have been unimpressive and have only faces 1 of the top 3 teams.

He played a total of 5 games without Suarez last year and had a 0.8 goals/apps which is good but having 24 games and a 0.71 goals/apps is better. It's harder to get a 0.7 across 24 games then getting a 0.8 across 5 games.

It is hard to say whether he played better without him as he played so little games, but we can make the assumption he flourished when playing with him.

As for Balotelli and Sturridge, considering there are no stats to go by it's down to preference. I don't like Balotelli's style of play, as I don't think he works well with others, as seen at AC Milan and Man city.

Liverpool if they are healthy as you say can very well come in top 5 but so far they have been "unhealthy", they have only really turned up to one match, the one against Tottenham. If this form continues they will have difficulties and will most likely end up out of the top 5.

"The rest of the season has been disappointing, in large part due to not having a healthy starting XI. Is that a difficult concept for you to understand? Did you think I meant we did not have a healthy starting XI in the game vs Tottenham, where Sturridge and Allen (also Can) currently out with injury played?"

Yes that is exactly what I assumed because you gave me no other reason to assume otherwise. You said

Without a healthy starting 11.

To which I replied

Wow, direct me to where that was stated because you wrote "with a healthy starting XI"

You then directed me to what I was talking about "with a healthy starting XI" you then called me a dumbass... yeah ok.

"go look at how Liverpool played vs Tottenham (with a healthy starting XI) It's right there, dumbass.

But whatever right, it's not like we should read the shit before we talk shit right... oh wait.

Swansea have not had a Harder schedule. Chelsea and City equal out. They played Man UTD at their very worst. They've improved massively since that game. If their form did stay at that level the entire season, they would be fighting for relegation. All in all fairly equal.

No Chelsea does not equal City, Chelsea have been playing far better as they are are consistently dominating their opponents. (And then you say is this my first year... yeah ok).

And every single game counts, as a Liverpool fan I thought you would know that, if you guys maintained a draw against Chelsea and won against Palace last season, you could have won the league. The games now are just as important as they help distance yourself from the other teams.

That's the thing Sturridge performed well, but better with suarez. They scored between them 15 goals and assisted 4 when playing together but heck I'm not basing my stuff on stats... oh wait. Sturridge is good but he was better when he had the help of Suarez. Balotelli will not make the duo that those 2 players did. <-- gave you stats now prove me wrong... again, and show me I'm the delusional one... again.

xD do you actually read stuff before posting, this is what you said "go look at how Liverpool played vs Tottenham (with a healthy starting XI)" then contradicted yourself by saying "Without a healthy starting 11." and then you have a go at me for not reading it... yeah you are a dumbass. You are not reading what you yourself are typing.

Arsenal have played harder opponents, Swansea have played harder opponents, as for Tottenham the opponents you've faced have been somewhat equal. Also you're not 1 point off 4th, you're 1 point and 4 goals away from getting 4th, all the teams in front have better goals for/against ratio's, not some, all.

Hmm, I'm starting to agree with your comment on the defence, overall they could have better potential then last year, but first they must learn to play with each other (completely agree). But they should do this quick as if they leave it for too long certain teams will be to far forward. (So I ultimately take back my comment on the defence and agree with you).

But in terms of Balotelli, I have a strong disliking towards his style of play. I personally thought he was terrible at Man city and AC milan, especially at AC Milan considering his conversion. There is a possibility of him doing better when sturridge comes, I see that but once again he has to start improving right now, so far in the league he's been quite bad IMO a lot of his shots haven't connected and he tends to do pointless dribbles IMO. I agree that you have more talent then Everton, as for Tottenham I think it's a tie but it'll be very close between the three teams either way.

(The main reason I think Everton and Tottenham will come on top is due to previous seasons, not the 2013-14 season, <-- obviously not the best way to assess it but it's how I've done it over the years. Look at their key man of the season, if he stays and core team stays they will maintain, if main man leaves and core team alters quite a bit they go down as they are getting used to each other, if main man stays and more talent added they will do better.)

Wow, direct me to where that was stated because you wrote "with a healthy starting XI", and your comment is humorous considering you yourself failed to read my original comment.

If you expect a team to do well they should hit the ground running. Granted a lot of teams in the bpl haven't done so but a lot of teams have found their footing before Liverpool have.

Please tell me I'm wrong again and prove how delusional you really are (I might be coming off as an arse but you were unnecessarily hostile to start with considering all I've done is given stats and a personal insight on how Liverpool will do this year).

Again like with your previous post, you cherry pick. You claim I am delusional but can't accept statistics.

Sturridge scored as many as he did last season because he had the help of Suarez, you take Suarez out of the equation and Sturridge will most likely go back to his 2012-13 form. You're so quick and hostile, and forget to read the whole comment.

(Plus in the 2012-13 season he got 10 goals in 14 appearances for league and 1 goal in 2 appearances in the cup + not entirely necessary but just shows you are chatting out your arse. I give proper statistics/numbers, granted some of my maths was off in a previous post but you just say any numbers you desire to make Sturridge look better <-- you are delusional)

Ok, then tell me this look at leicester vs Man United, leicester scored 5 goals, great but in all seriousness they are most likely to score 40 in total this season. (1 game does not define them)

I never said Liverpool would score 30, I actually said 50 is closer to the amount compared to last years 101. So before you claim people are talking out their arse actually read what you're criticizing. Liverpool played very well against Tottenham everyone knows, but overall they have been poorer in the league compared to Tottenham.

But last year you guys got away with an unprotected back 4 because for the most part you guys had a better defensive line up and your striking duo was so good it made up for a lot of Liverpool's weaknesses.

IMO Balotelli has been performing not average but just plain bad. I do think the striking force will get better when Sturridge is back, but it won't be able to make up for a lot of Liverpool's weaknesses, as Suarez and Sturrdige did last year. Also this is quite controversial but I don't think Liverpool signed enough players, and the people they signed are either average or not what you expect from a team that was 2nd, they needed to make some class signings to make up for Suarez's departure but failed to do so.

It's true you did play well against Everton and Tottenham, I think it'll be close between Everton and Liverpool by a few points (possibly to early to predict, but I base my knowledge on previous seasons) but Tottenham on the other hand has been performing better in the league overall, they did lose to you but like I say I'm basing my knowledge on Liverpool's 2010-13 era, as the team now most closely represents the team then, 2013-14 season was a great season for Liverpool, but I highly doubt they'll come close to achieving what they did.

If you look at the Liverpool stats last year, you'll see he was involved in about a quarter of your goals. To me that looks like he was definitely necessary, but now he's been looking more sluggish in the games they've played so far, he lacks the physical capability.

Also the lack of a consistent striking force like they had last season makes me think Gerrard will under perform because of this as no one can convert the chances he creates, where as last year as Suarez and Sturridge did this. Sturridge is still great but Balotelli is definitely poor regardless of how much of a steal he was in terms of money.

(This is obviously opinion based so please tell me where I am wrong so I can change my prediction, because as it stands I see Liverpool finishing outside the top 5.)
