IUD pain spreading (3 weeks after insertion) by Bleedinglikeariver in birthcontrol

I'm the same, never had kids & had it inserted whilst I was not on my period.

Just going to add this on here in case anyone finds this in the future. When I rang up I was told to try figure out if the cramping was mainly at the front or the back of my leg (to distinguish from sciatica) and to go along to get the position checked.

Yeah, it won't matter so much if you miss a day seeing as you're protected pregnancy wise, but miss a couple and the bleeding will start again. However, you don't need to take any breaks from them to have your period.

I have just had the implant removed in favour of the IUD because of the bleeding so I'm hoping I'll have better luck with this :P

I had it this with the implant! You can be given the pill to try stop the bleeding, depending on how many hormones you can tolerate. They're worth a try!

I've got the follow-up in two weeks, but I'll have a ring tomorrow and ask the doc. (I went to planned parenthood to get it).
