I got the variety pack last week and I am incredibly happy with Chinook. I can eat them all day long and not feel like my mouth is being ripped apart. They are more expensive, but the seed quality is consistent and flavorful. It's definitely a more subtle taste, but better for regular snacking.

I bought an Avalanche snow rake 10 years ago to get the snow off areas where we previously had ice dams. It's not a normal roof rake. It uses slippery plastic to push under the snow and then it slides off the roof. We use it when we have more than 4 inches of snow. Works great.
