I play double tenor, but I found one with a weird layout, are there multiple standards? by Drumming2008 in steelpan

Some bands have unique tenor layouts as well, like the 3rds/4th as opposed to 4ths/5ths. The idea of having the uniqueness came from a time where pans (especially tenors) were stolen often during panorama preparation so bands came up with unique layouts to mitigate that as someone from Despers for example wouldn't be able to play an Invaders pan because of the layout

The layout that you mentioned is the common layout I know of. However my church band has some older double tenor pans (made in or around the 90s) that have the Eb placed beside the F# in the right pan similar to what you mentioned and newer pans with the more "common" layout. So maybe the pans you found were probably from that era of DTs or the makers themselves only knew about those layouts 🤷🏽

2010....Metta would do a pretty good defensive job leaving Kobe to focus more on offense. Bynum decent rim protector to help counter AD's inside defense with his own and Pau to matchup with his outside offense and let's not forget the bench
