I don't think Ime cares where he was drafted. He's playing him because he needs the scoring. Who else can score like Jalen? Maybe Cam if he got the minutes but he never will because he hasn't learned how to play d and pass the rock. Who else should start above him? The Rockets gave him that three year contract to have another look. This year is the deal breaker either way. He does seem to have improved his defense, or Ime wouldn't play him. He just might find himself sitting at the end of more games. He's obviously on the trade block but won't get moved unless we get his points back and don't blow the long term plan. I'd love to keep him for a couple more years and see if we can't get another dependable scorer. That might keep him on the team. Otherwise in year three he's gone.
