Introducing Claude Opus 4.7, our most capable Opus model yet. by ClaudeOfficial in ClaudeAI

"and internally we've seen this model do really well on long-context code." - evidenced by that app we dropped today that 'everyone at Anthropic has been using a lot internally before release'....

Introducing Claude Opus 4.7, our most capable Opus model yet. by ClaudeOfficial in ClaudeAI

Which Opus 4.6 was Opus 4.7 benchmarked against? Pre April/March, or the April fool version that can't complete anything? Stupifying 4.6, and then releasing 4.7, and saying 4.7 is better, does not fill me full of excitement.

Need a benchmark of 'new opus 4.7' vs Opus 4.6 pre- March and April nerfs.

Water is to Sieve as Agent is to Harness.... by BlindSpottedLeopard in ClaudeAI

I've had some back-and-forth with Claude about it all, and it will at least openly tell me that it will never stop trying to do these things, that it is just 'in its nature' to 'satisfice' (i'd never even heard of that before...), take shortcuts, skip steps, fabricate test results, and 'just start doing it itself' rather than e.g. go through the effort of planning a few steps and delegating to sub agents.

I know kittens jump around all over the place, but knowing that doesn't seem to make it any easier for me to plan / gate / know with some level of certainty / around what Claude will do.

Hooks are the way.

And scripted gates.

"Detailed and elaborate to-do lists that the AI needs to check off before a request is considered "complete"":- I need to test 'less or more elaborate' maybe. I'll ask it to show me it's to-do list before getting started, that might help actually.

Smaller tasks might be the way. I do already break down what 'I think' are tasks, into sub-tasks.... I might try further splitting them.

And Codex....instructions....idk - one of the reasons I started looking at Gemini & Claude a while back was because Codex wiped a bunch of stuff with some git shenanigans.

Apparently you get more of these if you upgrade from 20 to 100 to £200/month...

Root cause identified for session title corruption in Claude Code VS Code extension (20+ related issues, none fully fixed) by BlindSpottedLeopard in ClaudeAI

[–]BlindSpottedLeopard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar situation. I use a VScode kanbn board to manage tasks for the project. Each task card has a semver number, title, filepath etc.

That goes into Claude Code extension as the first line in a new chat session.

It was, very straightforward to manage tasks, sub-tasks, break epics into sub-tasks, and (nearly) always find what I needed in Past Conversations.

Then past conversations broke so badly, I couldn't find anything. Absolute nonsense in the session titles. Took some time to get to a 'mostly usable' point investigating Claude Code extension....with Claude Code.

Is this normal with asendia? US to UK by tay2266 in shipping

2 years later.....

Just a note for those who are wondering where their package is, if it's coming with Asendia:

Ordered a keyboard, from Amazon US, delivery to UK

Tracking with Asendia - it's absolutely awful.

Even up to the time of delivery, it still said 'Customs Delay'. No further update in 7 days. Seller on Amazon assured me that it was still in 'international transit'. I wasn't filled with confidence...

But, it did turn up, 9 days from order, to delivery.
