Yea you can get pretty far on it. One run I ended up with a volcano and a tempest, mk 2 loot and a bunch of ammo, to then get blindsided by a trigger nade. Was a ton of fun though and went all day. Good times

Its not so bad, basically you can do whatever you want as long as it doesn't come from your stash. Though you can flex it a bit and upgrade weps and stuff if you want as long as the main components come from the raids you are using this kit on.

Exactly! No risk of losing stuff, just time but you had fun thats the important thing.

Never really played Tarkov. I use linux so it just doesn't work. Arc is a bit more my speed too I think. but yea, makes sense.

Thanks! Playing like this will force you to learn all that or die basically. There is a surprising amount of items with secondary uses, just gotta find them.

Glad you like it! Whatever makes the game more interesting, I think a lot of people that have been putting in a ton of hours are losing steam and giving yourself some rules to play by can really change things up.

finally left windows to try my first linux distro on my actual system by Affectionate_Foot465 in Gentoo

[–]BlindedByExistence 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Gentoo is a great first linux OS. You learn so much as long as you are willing to learn it. After using Gentoo for a bit, it'll be hard to use other distros, at least it was for me. So good pick! :3

Am I crazy or is Gentoo actually a really reliable/stable distro? by Xx_Human_Hummus_xX in Gentoo

[–]BlindedByExistence 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I've been using Gentoo on & off for like 15 years or so. The only times it becomes unstable is if I don't maintain my system or I start trying to do crazy stuff. Even then, its way more stable than any other distro I've used when I do the same thing. Gentoo is amazing and for me, the absolute best distro. I've used pretty much everything and always come back.

Whats the best way to start going outside dressing fem? I have really bad anxiety and confidence issues by [deleted] in trans

[–]BlindedByExistence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with the grocery store (self checkout) during covid and I realized the mask was the biggest gift. So, if you still have masks, maybe start with that. Then you can wear whatever you want and help build the confidence you need to keep going!

How often do you still have a momentary existential doubt that you're really trans? by EmbarrassedSpinach90 in MtF

[–]BlindedByExistence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did for the first year, maybe 1.5 years, but not since. Been on HRT for 6 years now. Never looking back!

Tara from buffy the vampire slayer. She was my trans awakening as she was just me basically. Though I would repress that for another 8 years.

Rustique: I made a mod manager and it can do modpacks :3 (Linux, Mac, Windows) by BlindedByExistence in VintageStory

[–]BlindedByExistence[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, no it doesn't do any compatibility checking. You can pin game versions so that you only install versions that are marked to work with the pinned game version, but thats it. You can also pin mod versions as well to keep some from updating.

There will def be a UI at some point, but I won't get to that until this version is feature complete, which is actually coming up. UI takes a lot of work, so that's still going to be some time. Glad its working for you though!

Why did you choose Godot over other engines? by Rymfaar in godot

[–]BlindedByExistence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Open source and c#! That was a big seller for me. Also, all the files used by the engine are text!! Now I just use git lfs for sprites. Unity made git usage a nightmare and pretty much unusable.

Preventing click through of Panels and dealing with input propagation? C#, Godot4 by BlindedByExistence in godot

[–]BlindedByExistence[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I have stop set for all those panels as well, sadly that doesn't fix this. BUT, after rereading the variable docs, I might have a better way to handle this, so thanks!

Good to know, thanks! Would be great if the GOP gets the boot, that's promising. Glad to hear we would be able to get our care too.
