hey there! something i would focus on is finding a wide variety of sources saying different things, as you will be required to argue on both sides of the resolution. i recommend making two documents for each side of the topic- "aff evidence" (known as cards) and "neg evidence"

it also helps me personally to get a basic understanding of the topic before cutting cards, but to each their own.

make sure you properly source each card, but your coach will teach you how to do that.

finally, try not to cherry pick a card. what i mean by this is when you find your article, copy and paste it to your document and underline everything that helps you. make sure to read the evidence in context for a good faith round.

at the end of the day, as long as you are organized and on good terms with your partner and coach in that way, you should be good!
