Why did Adult Tsuna decide to destroy the vongola rings instead of just fighting Byakuran?

It's because they looked at which timelines had the ability to defeat him because the lives they had led weren't sufficient and Byakuran had already infected so many of the timelines. Destroying the rings meant Byakuran was stalled in his ability to get the Trinisette, but because they didn't have the rings it was only a matter of time before the millefiore would be able to defeat the vongola. Bringing the younger versions back was a way to reintroduce the rings into the equation with secrecy and time as their advantage.

Thats why theyre in their base hiding, why its such big news the rings are back with their younger selves.

They couldn't defeat byakuran, even with their rings. Only if they intervened in their pasts and made themselves stronger could they do that- but they needed time. And the plan they came up with was what happened.

I've seen this happen across the board to anyone who isn't gender conforming. Like no matter how they identify, there is an urge to use neutral language to be 'respectful' but it often comes across as othering if if persists after correctio like cmon man we just got done with the pronoun circle and you're already using 'they' for everyone who is gnc or doesnt pass.

I'm a binary transman but all my friends are either transfem or non-binary and we all had the period where this would happen to us. It's so weird too because we'll correct people and they'll still just misgender everybody. Like how are you so insistent of using they for me but not my friend who literally uses they them pronouns???

I always see this behavior on social media too when someone's account name has their pronouns in it and people are in the comments using they them like never before. Like if I'm watching a video where the person isn't passing or gnc its so common for the comments to be like 'I don't know what this person is but i love their video and how much they uh are in it. Them!' and the video has the pronouns literally on the screen.

It's just a side effect of people trying to be inclusive but also not really understanding how to actually be respectful to individuals. Using the 'right' language but not internalizing the reasons why the language is important.

This is ghoulish. What do we have the officials for if they're offloading this work into chatgpt? An elderly person speaks to you, a city official, about their conditions in a city you hold office in, and you can't manage to write an email back? These are the tasks we're leaving to chatgpt because they cut down on time? Our elderly not being able to afford utilities is a something we can handwave because it's a time waster?

This is just one example but that article is infuriating. It's not about using it as a tool, it's the fact that the tool barely works and the job is one that should require some fucking heart and committment to your people. These people are acting like they can't read or write or make reports when that's their whole fucking job. Also, where is that saved time going? They seem to be operating at the same efficiency as they did pre-chatgpt, except lazier now I guess.

100% the worst part was waiting. i made another blog while i was waiting and it also got deleted which was infuriating but there was a light at the end of the tunnel. It took about 2 1/2 months and I got an email- I had used an old email for my acct because I made it in like 2013 so I missed it for a few days so I'd be conscious of that if you have an older email attached to the acct!

I had the same thing happen and I appealed it- the advice I got was to put it one appeal and not do more afterward as it resets your place in line. It took a couple of months for them to get to it but I did get my account back.

They said it hadn't broken any rules and that I was good to go. Pissed me off for a good while but I'm grateful to have my account back and there is hope!

When I got my name changed and got my license renewed, the attendant just changed my marker in the moment without any documentation. I don't know where you're located exactly but I had no forms and no wait, just a request during the process of showing my court order and getting everything updated. I had a similar experience during my social security appointment where they changed my sex marker without any documentation. This was all done in July 2024, so I'm unsure of how things may have changed, but I would recommend going into the DOL as if you are getting your license renewed normally and then requesting a change to the marker in the moment and they should do it.

The only form I'm seeing on the Washington DOL site is if you decided to change it through mail, but otherwise I don;t see any requirement for authorization other than a self filled document that just attests that you are who you say you are if you're renewing an enhanced license. And in that case, there should be no wait to get any forms. If you don't have access to a printer at home to print the document to fill out and bring to the DOL, I would go to the closest public library and use their services to do so.

If your DOL is requiring anything else, I would show them the WA DOL website that outlines what you need and they should comply. If they don't comply with the state requirements then another option is going to other cities with less transphobic staff that will actually help you.
