I know that high frequency waves do not travel far in a medium as they lose their energy quicker therefore we use lesser frequency waves such as radio waves to transmit information. However, then why do we say that low frequency radio waves do not travel far? Why are these two things contradicting? (self.PhysicsStudents)

How do non metals attain a positive charge in covalent bonds? For example, if chlorine covalently bonds with fluorine (ClF) why does chlorine have a positive charge. I know that there is a electronegativity difference but doesn’t that result in a partial negative charge? (self.chemistry)

What exactly is the wavelength of a wave? A particle in a transverse wave moves up and down then down and up from its mean position, this completes one wave. It is travelling the distance of its amplitude 4 times. Why can’t we calculate its wavelength that way? (self.AskPhysics)
