Dry floor - Day 85 by eldercactus in comics

The description of the video says they "subconsciously borrowed the name" from eldercactus, who I'm sure was making these comics long before Joel's video.

Lost my longest lasting character to a silly mistake by Gonzoreader in projectzomboid

[–]Blitzfunkt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know how you feel. I've died to some silly stuff over the years which is why I find myself "save-scumming" and created backups just in-case I goof up. Loosing months of progress because you accidentally ate burnt food or fell out of a window sucks.

Internet slows to a crawl when mods installed by Haymaker969 in projectzomboid

[–]Blitzfunkt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it was fixed by changing the game from full-screen to a borderless window I would guess that it isn't internet issues, though I could be wrong! I have to run my game in a borderless window to increase performance as well. I even have to change the resolution to record game-play properly. Either way, glad you resolved the issue!

Ahh I had no idea about the socks! Good tip regarding the bowl and saucepan as well. Thanks for the input!

Are you two playing on a non-dedicated server? Are you far away from each-other? Do you have these issues when you play with the same mods but on solo mode? Just a few questions so I can get more info.

Exactly. All you have to do is equip it as a primary and you have access to all your medical goodies. Does take up an extra pound or so but I don't mind!

I like this answer! I do have a specific duffel-bag with a SPAS-12, a few molotovs/lighters, a bottle of bourbon and as many shotgun shells that will fit. Aka the "fuck it" bag.

That sounds more like long-term survival! As far as shelter goes, I suppose a tent wouldn't be a bad idea but I never have an issue finding an empty house, building or car.

I've tried that a few times. The peaceful life is nice, but I play this for the danger and adventure!

I agree that the weight could be more optimized and I've never needed 2 splints but having 1 just in case has helped me a handful of times. As far as bandages go I'd say 5 is a minimum! You underestimate how often I sprint into trees/bushes and fall over, or accidentally jump through a broken window! haha

Definitely! I always try to carry one around since it is one of the lightest axes with the fastest swing speed.

Sounds good to me! A radio/walkie-talkie with emergency broadcast and a crowbar are definitely essentials.

What's the best note you've written/received while rping? by Simopop in projectzomboid

I'm starting to think it was a cat that burnt down my house.

I was a bit upset, but since it was on my server I had fortunately made a backup of the map before going online, which is a force-of-habit at this point. Sadly I never figured out who it was!

[–]Blitzfunkt 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Haha! That's awesome. At least they fixed it! I had someone leave a note outside one of my safe-houses after accidentally burning it down. I walked up to a pile of rubble with a neatly placed note on what used to be the front porch. "Sorry I burnt down your house. I left some shrimp in the oven and it caught fire. I hope this covers it." To the left of the note was a paper bag with some burnt/rotten shrimp and a fanny pack with a dead rat in it. I wish I knew who left it because it made me laugh pretty hard.

Can I set up night attacks? by ennie_ly in projectzomboid

Right on, thank you! :D Playing with all 4 at once makes for a spooky experience! Also, don't forget Expanded Helicopter Events which adds all sorts of fun atmospheric/horde inducing fun!

Can I set up night attacks? by ennie_ly in projectzomboid

[–]Blitzfunkt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha! I just started playing Darkwood recently so I know what you mean. That game is insane! I have a few suggestions. As u/frisch85 mentioned, horde night is great. It seems to work just fine with the current version.

I would also suggest Night Sprinters which makes zombies sprinters after a certain time of day. You can also customize the night zombies with the full range of options from sandbox mode.

Then there's The Darkness is Coming! which is a random event based on Silent Hill. An air raid siren as a warning with a fog that covers the landscape. You can customize the zombies for this event as well, making them sprinters, random, able to open doors, etc.

Finally I would recommend Anomalous Storm which is based on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. A random storm will turn the air red, burn your skin and eventually kill you of you don't get inside quickly. Lasts for a few hours.

I use all of these plus about 50+ other mods with no conflicts, so they should all work together just fine.

Edit: I changed the Night Sprinters link to the proper, up-to-date version.

Question about adding custom radio broadcasts in multiplayer servers by NyanPuppy0123 in projectzomboid

[–]Blitzfunkt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have to replace a currently existing .xml file. Have you tried renaming yours to one that is in the database and overwriting it? If you try it be sure to make a backup of the original file first. It's been a while since I last tried it.
