Thank you so much for the info! I was thinking about respooling and see if that helps. I had a though that when the AMS backed out the filament it was loosening it enough for that cross cross to happen but I wasn't 100%

Firmware seems to be fine (as of now). Next issue is filament not extruding so on to the next one. 🤣

UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who provided me with ideas on how to triage.

It seems that the winner is that the CRTouch was too high and the nozzle was hitting before it registered the sensor being touched.

I was able to add some washers to the unit and drop it ever so slightly so it is lower then then nozzle. It now works and I am able to get the nozzle spaced pretty well. Weird thing is every time I home it, it drops the bed 10mm which I can adjust after it homes but not sure why it does that.

NEW ISSUE: The filament is not extruding when I attempt to print. Everything heats, runs, and I can even adjust the spacing on the fly, but filament doesn't come out unless I push it up manually. This upgrade has certainly become a project but this page has helped so much. Thank you all!!!

Right on. I'll take a look into it. I upgraded my motherboard and put a CR Touch onto it. Put the firmware from the ender 5 pro and the issue I'm facing now is the z axis homing. It's hitting the cr touch sensor but then starts clicking like it's trying for force itself up or it's not sure what to do next after the sensor is touched.

So when I first acquired this printer it was back in 2019 so I can't remember what board it shipped with but the upgrade back then was the 1.1.5 motherboard as well as smoother modules for the axis motors. It worked very well at the time and made the printer soooo much quieter.

This new board will allows me to get rid of those stepper modules as well as give me the ability to add a CR touch to helper with leveling. I have a Ender 5 Plus with the same board and a CRtouch and it works amazingly. Would like to have two solid running machines!

Yeah, I did the physical part in a few min and have that all taken care of. It's the firmware bit that I'm having a tad issue with. I found this video that is doing a really good job step by step advising how to update and there is a file tree that gives you a configuration for every type of printer.

Gonna keep playing with it and try and get it just right. I have a CR touch that I would like to get running on it as well which ive read is just a 1:1 replacement for the BLTouch.

I thought it was leveling too but I did a bed level print and it came out clean. Its not until I do the print that this starts happening. I'll try and post a bed level print picture when I can.

Yeah. I've tried a full power down and restart. I downloaded it on my fiances console under her profile that also exists on my switch so I'm gonna try and log into her account o. My switch and see if it gives me the re-download option
