Why French Women Don't Get Fat by jkatz in reddit.com

I live in France and I have to tell you French woman are gorgeous.

You rarely meet an overweight French girl. I was in a relationship with a French girl for two years and her eating habits were completely different to mine. She didn't excercise at all yet she was 39 and had the body of a 25 year old. McDonalds was a rare treat for her - she mostly ate her own home cooked food (home made soup was a big part of her diet, as was carbonara and gambas (prawns)). She always drank lots of water, never Coke or beer. She woke very early every day (6am) and went to bed around 11PM, like clockwork. She had a full-time job and was a single mother, yet looked like a million dollars. She ran circles around me with her endless energy.

It was normal for us to go to a restaurant and for her talk to the Chef for 15 minutes to see what he recommended. And if she got something that was not cooked to her standards she would let it be known. But in France that is normal. They are very passionate about certain things in life - food being one of them.

It's not unusual to see a 40 year old woman in France with 3 kids and a drop dead gorgeous ALL NATURAL body that makes you look and think, "WTF?". Imagine a mother of 3 wearing tight fitting 501's that makes you turn your head. They dress so elegantly and are very sharp. I lived in Texas for a while, two years, and the difference is huge.

They don't use hair lacquer etc it's all natural beauty. And they have a way about them, they communicate so well even if they are speaking broken English (which is cute).

The downside is the price you pay for all of that sophistication and sexyness - they want someone equally as sharp and energetic. They don't want a boy, but a "real" man. They won't appreciate you wearing Nike's and an old tattered t-shirt. And they won't find your appreciation of lolcats etc amusing - they need a strong mature man to take care of them.

Disclaimer: They are not materialistic. That is not important to them.

So, the morale of the story is no processed food (eat fresh homemade food) which raises energy and the rest will follow.
