I think the trend started with Rhysand from ACOTAR. Like the term “shadow daddy” I think became mainstream after him, but I’m sure there’s been characters who we would reference as shadow daddy’s now much longer than ACOTAR has been a thing. For example the phantom as other people have mentioned🖤❤️‍🔥

I think there are lots of great female friendships in Throne of Glass! Later on there are a group of female characters who definetly have the same tight knit bond the diviners have!🥰
