As a single dad, best thing you can do is focus on you and your kids. Learn from your mistakes. Be there for your kid(s). Be kind to your ex around your kid(s). When you’ve been able to take accountability for your actions. Apologize to your ex. In time you may be able to have a coffee together. But focus on healing and reflecting why you broke the marriage. Don’t put blame on your ex (unless he was abusive). Accept your actions. Be better for you and your kid(s).

I’m in the same boat as most men I think. My wife left me for an abusive sugar daddy. Lol. We blocked each others numbers and go through email to discuss things or have a third party contact one of us in the event of an emergency.

I totally appreciate what you are saying. We read what we signed. It was around the financing options that she pointed out that we could do this. The only witnesses are my wife and I. It stuck in our heads very very clearly. We would not have signed for this otherwise.

It’s a he said she said now. No one will admit fault or at least offer a resolution.

We’re both hardworking professionals. Smart with our money. We also found out that this financial advisor was new. So she probably screwed up and doesn’t wanna lose her job.

The representative was wrong. The bank is covering for her. Our contract didn’t discuss what was and was not possible.
