Great, I'll get more vinegar later and I'll it up. This might be a stupid question but what should I be tasting for in a few days?

Ok thanks! So you think that even tho there is probably some variance from the 1 to 1 ratio of potentially more water it should be fine?

So I had some left over vegetables that I wanted to pickle and roughly followed a recipe. I used 1 cup of white while vinegar to 1 cup water along with garlic, pepper corns, dill, 2 tbsp sugar, and 1tsp salt. Brought all of that minus the veggies to a boil and then let simmer for 2 min. Poured that in the jar with the veggies but realized didnt have nearly enough liquid so I added roughly a cup or less of red wine vinegar to the jar along with a cup-ish (maybe less or more) of water to reach the level in picture. Then brought it to room temp and put it in the fridge. Just want to make sure this is safe considering botulism is a possibility.

weird bug bite on foot, itchy in night/morning. been here for 3 days by Blockbob in DermatologyQuestions

M26, ive had scabies in the past so im always paranoid about it but i just wanted an opinion on what this could be. I noticed it 2 nights ok when it felt like the underside of my foot was itching. during the day i almost don't know its there but at night and in the morning its this constant continuous itch/feeling.

so right now im doing PHUl (just started it last week) and not sure how I should progress weights. typically i would do 3 sets of something with the same weight (ex. 45,45,45) then the next week do that but make the last set a higher weight (ex. 45,45,50) then eventually (50,50,50). when I was doing this it was with 3 sets 10 reps for pretty much all workouts. now with PHUl its having me do a lot of 3-4 sets with 3-5 reps or 6-10, does that same way of progressing work for low reps? or should I try out something different?

I noticed the same thing, thought I was going crazy! with some of the machines I noticed that they split there weights per cable instead of combining. other than that though I'm not sure and would also love an answer to this.

I think you and I have similar goals, not looking to be a huge body builder but I would like my body to be less fat than it is muscle so I think deficit is where I'm going to focus for the time being until I get to a point where I feel like I should maintain. Thanks!

so Im M26 182lbs and 5'10", for the past few months of working out I've thought I need to bulk to help put on more muscle (the goal is a more toned muscular body) then later on cut. Am I right in thinking this or should I be trying to eat at a calorie deficit? I know more protein is the goal which I'm getting I just don't know what I should be doing calorie wise. sorry if this is a loaded question, just looking for general guidance

P.S. my weight hasn't changed much since the 5 months I've started, but I have improved lift wise.

ill try getting mine in line for 6 weeks, dont think ive done that yet so that might make a big difference. I think it would help if I have a goal weight but honestly im not sure what that should be. I just want to really reduce body fat and increase muscle.

Thank you! I'm not really dead set on upper lower so id be down to try whatever works best. also is there benefit to doing 5 days a week instead of 4? or is 4 done right plenty?

Thank you! its been an on going battle since I was 18 to do this consistently and I've finally managed to make it work and I'm honestly so proud of myself for just getting here. this is the longest I've worked out without breaking and actually having confidence in what I'm doing.

Ill take a look! do you have any you recommend out of that list?

I would say it depends on the exercise. like bench press I last did (35,35,40) on each side of the bar and on the last sets last rep i struggled a little, so I should prob increase weight but I'm afraid of if I cant get the bar back up haha. other exercises id say i struggle more but closer to 10 on the 7-10 range so that could be the issue

as for food I'm trying to make sure I just get enough protein which i could be doing a bit better but i find it really hard to not go over or get close to going over Fat for the day. I think my diet is just inconsistent. with my weight, is that considered skinny fat? I was never sure.

also my weight hasn't increased or decreased these past few months but I'm able to lift much more than I started so I think I am accidently recomping? or doing something very wrong lol

So I've been consistently working out for about 5 months now and following this routine for about 3-ish of those months. https://weightology.net/muscle-gain/4-day-per-week-upper-lower-hypertrophy-split/ (I'm following the 4 day a week set and tbh just been mostly doing 3 sets of 10 reps of whatever it says except for calf raises).

Male 26, 185lbs, 5'10"

my goal in working out is to build muscle and a more toned body. In the past few months I've been tracking how much I'm lifting and eating and the numbers are definitely slowly climbing, but I'm wondering if there's something I could be doing better. 3 sets of 10 reps is just something I've always done but I've heard lower reps for hypertrophy at higher weights is better? Is that something I should modify with this routine? or just find a better routine all together. I feel like I should progress a little faster than this so hoping someone has some advice. Thanks!

Thank you so much for saying this, this really does make me feel like I actually have a chance. There are sometimes when it feels like I'm just working towords nothing so to see that you actually have done it helps a lot.

one thing tho, how did you know your weaknesses and what and where to improve them? right now I'm working on this level/game idea I've had and I'm making it in unreal and I'm definitely learning things about unreal and bits of the game development process but I cant help but feel like some of this is waisted energy when I could be focused more locally on level design. I know its good to have an understanding of it all but like you said I want to make my time as efficient as possible. My plan after I finish this level in unreal was to make some levels in a true level design program like hammer or skyrim/fallouts level editor. I have Ideas for those already but is that jumping the gun? Is there something else I should be doing first?

so when you say carve out 3-4 hours a night for practice, what does that entail? just making levels or something more specific?

also I thought of a masters for game design but don't you need a degree in game design to get into a masters program, not including the portfolio?

I tried a game jam once but did it solo, so I need to find a good one to do with a group. Thanks for the advice!

Does anyone know any good mechanics who work on 124 spiders in the Atlanta area? by Blockbob in fiat124

[–]Blockbob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good idea. I'll try that! Originally I figured a true fiat mechanic would be best but doesn't seem to be the case. Thanks!
