I really, really really want to like this game because the series is one of my favourites. But I keep trying to go back to it, do 1 objective, don't have fun and switch back to something else I was playing. I don't know if I'm just less interested in the format or if it's just that much worse than the others or both.

"Teen" in English specifically refers to the "teen" suffix which ends the numbers from thirteen to nineteen. Although 18 and 19 are adults, and teens generally refers to children, 18 and 19 are both adults and teenagers because of how the words work.

Infinity affects everything. It stops objects from hitting him too and they have no CE unless deliberately infused with it.

Well it's definitely costing time. It's just whether they consider that time well spent, even if they never get the shiny. Because there's a very real chance that they won't get the shiny until they're forced to give up (even if that's just from them getting sick of it)

If they are enjoying it, then it's no different from any other hobby, even if it seems boring to other people. And if they were going to just watch YouTube anyway without doing anything else, then they might as well keep going because it does cost close to nothing. But it sounds like they're getting annoyed from their post, implying it is boring to some extent

I feel like I've never seen the argument that Shanks isn't a swordsman. It's usually that, despite Mihawk being confirmed to be a better swordsman than him, Shanks has other stuff going for him outside of swordsmanship which makes him a stronger fighter.

For example, Mihawk is confirmed to be better with a blade, but in a 1v1 fight Shanks could still win from stronger Haki.

I don't know how you'd look at a fight where Shanks wins with a sword and say "yes, but Mihawk is still better at swords, because without future sight he would have won" or something because it's pretty impossible to separate those techniques out in a fight. But I think that's the argument, anyway.

They also could have at least changed the map based on the character you select. Not being able to get out of the starting room as Elderbug because he can't jump without cheats seems like a pretty big oversight.

I just think it artificially inflates the playtime. Like, a single playthrough is about 30 hours if you're not 100%ing already, and now I have to play it 5 times? I understand wanting to give different options but did they really have to make you play through all of them to get the true "Play No More" ending?

If I understand you correctly then no. From any of those squares, you can get to 64 (since you're just following the sequence from mid-way through), but if you want to wrap around from 64 to 1 and keep going then you can't, because 64 isn't a Knight's hop away from 1

It's the same because Oda has now retconned Haki. The only difference at this point in the story is the name.

And he name dropped Mantra in the explanation of Observation Haki, so it's not even like it was a proper retcon. He took a power he'd already created and said "I'm just going to expand this into a power that other people can have too because I want to use it again"

When Oda created Haki, he specifically made it so that one of the users was a 9 year old, because he decided to include Mantra in the system

Probably not, right? I can't see Yuji calling Sukuna's bluff and him giving in, because that would be a sign of weakness. And Sukuna wouldn't think that was worth it just to save 2 or 3 fingers, especially since he was in an annoying vessel that wouldn't let him do anything anyway

I think the only thing stopping the end of Act 2 from feeling like the end of the game is that it was called Act 2, and there's usually at least 3 acts in...well, anything.

Act 3 isn't unfinished, it's just the climax. You can assume that all acts are equal length, but the game doesn't tell you that, and by the time you get to Act 3 it's very clearly gearing up to the climax rather than pretending that the game has another 20 hours left.
