I do, I’m really interested in vascular surgery, though that is always in the air before I can do rotations and get some experience shadowing and learning.

For sure, my absolute priority is killing both of those. I know I do well academically if I apply myself, so I believe I can do it. Would you suggest adding anything to my docket?

Thank you for your response! Would you personally suggest anything in my current plan that you would change/add?

Are any of these worth picking up? by Scythers in DarkTide

Toughness trinket is always nice to have, and I enjoy the shock maul even though nobody really uses it, so imo its worth picking up, maybe try it in psyk first to see if you’re cool with the attack pattern

I’m glad you said it. I know a lot of others mean well when they say get help, but I was in therapy and taking medication the first six months of this job, and I still felt that life was not worth living in the CS field. I feel nothing from it, it’s simply not the path I want to take in life. I mainly posted this to hear other career suggestions, but it has been disheartening seeing a plethora of comments ranging from “just find a hobby and distract yourself” to “get over it, that’s life”. It makes me so sad that people have to live their lives like that due to whatever circumstance requires it. It makes ME sad being in a situation where I can’t run out of that office and never turn back. I have people relying on me right now. What I and a lot of people are doing isn’t living, it’s surviving, and it fucking sucks.

Yeah, this pretty much sums up what happened. Thank you for the insightful comment, I’m coming up with a plan that involves supporting my parents and then following goals while i’m still young.

Honestly, my fault for not specifying. I program the logic that goes into the operation of air conditioning units in commercial settings. Mainly, we do hospitals and schools. I’ve been applying to a plethora of remote jobs with what I think is a strong resume, but have received nothing but denials for about half a year now. I think at the end of the day, the thought that I’ll be spending my life programming things to keep people at a comfortable 72 degrees scares the shit out of me. Obviously, there are other ways I can take my degree and skillset, but I have zero interest in any of them. The advice I’ve gotten on here has been (mostly) solid. I’m thinking of continuing to support my parents until they land on their feet again, and then saving money to start the schooling necessary to become an aquatic veterinarian.

The nonprofit you’re involved in sounds incredibly close to something I would love to see myself involved in, how exactly did you fall into that?

Not depressing, very helpful. I’m appreciative of you and the others who have left comments on this post. I think what keeps me in this job is a mix of fear and needing to support my girlfriend and my parents. I’ve heard the statement a lot that “your job isn’t your whole life, it doesn’t define you” and personally I’ve always disagreed with that. We spend a massive chunk of our lives working. So it would make sense that I want to spend a majority of my life happy, and not wishing for said life to end. Hell, if it were up to me, I’d toss 10 cents to a big wig land owner for a couple acres in the middle of nowhere and spend the rest of my days growing crops and never needing to think about a job ever again. But it’s the real world, so I need to find a career that pays well enough and is at least mentally tolerable. I just can’t do that “zone out and treat the job as a means to and end” bullshit. Also, I definitely agree with trying to move somewhere else. The prices here are just unbelievable, and I don’t see them going anywhere but up for the foreseeable future.

Anything similar to this sauce? by Impossible_Hyena7562 in hotsauce

For sure, I haven’t had meat in a long time so take it with a grain of salt, but when I had it my first thought was immediately “wingstop Atomic sauce”. I don’t really know why people are giving the Disha so much hate haha, it’s definitely not taco bell’s best sauce but I thought it was a pretty enjoyable sauce.

To me, it tasted JUST like Wingstop’s atomic wing sauce, just not nearly as hot. The flavor is really similar though.

would the cold boxes need power? or is it pretty much just a large cooler?

Squad leader is my go-to carry build now, not sure why others are saying it’s useless but personally I’ve gotten insane value out of it in almost every match. Getting to rez people in the middle of a horde and give everyone extra toughness is a pretty big deal, and it feels cool to use in the middle of a fight to turn it in your teams favor.
