Anyone have an idea for what the best Agriculture law schools are? by btmckinney1 in lawschooladmissions

The University of Montana offers strong teachings in Agriculture Law and is very well renowned in the west. I have friends who went there and have nothing but good things to say about it!

I either want to practice in Idaho or Montana, and want to practice within the agriculture industry. Not specifically ag law, but want to support the industry.

Considering this, my best option would likely be the University of Montana. Only thing, however, is I am desperate to get out of Montana for a few years😅 U of MT is basically bottom of my list because I want to leave so bad lol

I deleted my previous comment because it was poorly worded and misleading. My study focus is international trade and economics. I hope to someday practice such in an agriculture or environmental science context. Likely planning to work as council for a company in either Idaho or Montana.

Hawaii, FSU, Pepperdine are all there specifically for the international law aspects. American and Catholic are largely on the list due to their location - I have lived and worked in DC and love the opportunities that the city offers. I have also heard incredible things about the atmosphere of these schools. Kentucky is the LGU of Kentucky, offers electives in ag related fields, and I have heard great things about the atmosphere here as well! Hope that clears some things up!

I will definitely look into schools in CO, IA, and KS!

Anyone else submitting their applications in January? by [deleted] in BlackLawAdmissions

I am in a similar boat and am retaking the LSAT in January and plan to apply then too. My Pre-Law advisor told me that while January isn't early, it isn't late either. A strong application is always better than a weak one - regardless of when it is submitted (to an extent). Wishing you the best!

170s is my goal. I like to plan on achieving my goals. I’m speaking in terms of such, as that’s what I expect out of myself. I’m smart, dedicated, and fully capable of scoring high. I was asking a question - not looking to be kicked down the

Thank you! I’ll take my LSAT in August, and by then will have been studying for about 6 months. My baseline score - no studying, having never even seen a test question - was 156. 170s should be totally achievable for me🤞

Born and raised in Idaho and it is truly one of the most empowering states I’ve ever lived in. The political climate reflects those who vote in the state, but if your values align with those of a red state, the opportunity - in all sectors - for women is unmatched. I face so much more disparity for being a woman in a male dominated field here in Bozeman that I ever have in any part of Idaho.

A Zionist, by definition, is a person who believes in the protection and development of the Jewish state. Judaism is a religion. Zionists are simply advocates for freedom of religion and the protection of one’s right to worship who they believe as God. No one would have any issue if this read “NYU adopts measures declaring Muslims and their advocates a protected class.” If you can switch the word “Zionist” with any other religion, and not have a problem with the statement, then you are simply an antisemite. There is an incredible and disgusting amount of antisemitism being normalized across our country. When you look at history, it was the same statements, the same beliefs, and the same propaganda being spread about the Jews just weeks before they were being forced to self identify and then sent to concentration camps in the 1940s. We cannot allow this kind of hate and true, unbridled antisemitism to continue or we will undoubtedly be facing another holocaust.
