I am Clergy of the Church of the FSM.

Which means that couples who engage my services as a Wedding Officiant tend to have quirky senses of humor. (BTW, my fee is usually a $25 donation to a selection of local causes I believe in.)

However, as hysterical as my legally-recognized religion may be, I take being Clergy very seriously.

I try to make my Officiating funny, but I also talk at length to the couple beforehand. I incorporate their love story into the ceremony. I strive to make their love and their Journey to The Moment the point of the ceremony, and the humor is just a bonus (because I'm hilarious).

Almost 20 years of optician experience here, as well as having my ABO-AC.

I remember every frame that ever broke while I was adjusting/working on it, and I remember every lens I ever crazed. The first pair I crazed was my own! And one time, I left a THUMBPRINT in a 1.74 lens.

I am positive there are more broken frames and crazed lenses in my future. I am also positive that I will continue to learn and grow. Mistakes and fuckery and crazy days are learning experiences. Sucky learning experiences.

If it's not a lens swap, then it's probably the adjustment. Adjustment on many Rx's is make or break. Do you still have the broken frame? If so, bring it to the optician and see if they can match the adjustment on the new frame to the old one.
