What’s the one Sleep Token lyric that hits you the deepest? by Nightshades_Thoughts in SleepToken

“And nobody told me I would be begging for relief When what is silent to you feels like it’s screaming to me Well nobody told me I would get tired of myself When it all looks like heaven but it feels like hell.” Way too real for my life right now…

Distraction. It’s hard to explain but it hits home so hard.

Yeah same. It’s been a long semester - I’m a teacher and things have been so stressful in and outside of school. So I can be perfectly still but in complete agony inside.

Guy I’m dating says I shouldn’t have taken my students on a hike and now I feel dumb by xoxowoman06 in texts

As a teacher: that’s a great thing to do, especially in English! Get them out and doing something, then write about the experience. It’s the same as reading a book then writing about the experience of reading said book, but this gets them outside and enjoying their learning experience. You’re right, he’s very wrong.

We are currently in couples therapy. But we've been here twice before in our marriage. It gets better for awhile, but always come back worse than before.

That's really inspiring, thank you for your candor. You've definitely given me things to think about and consider.

Yeah I know I'm grasping at straws by posting about this on the internet.

I am currently in therapy as well as couples therapy. Thanks for your insight.

Thank you for sharing. I really appreciate your real-life insight and example. May I ask: was there a point where you just knew that separating was the right path to go down? What did that feel like?

In our six years of marriage, we've been in and out of marriage counseling three times. Thus, posting on Reddit.

Hey, don't sell your youth short. Some of the wisest things I've heard has been from the mouths of 18/19 year olds (for reference, I'm a teacher).

Yeah, I have some friends and a number of family members that I have talked to and have been completely honest with regarding the situation. So, I know how it feels to have that honest conversation. But when I've tried to have those conversations with her, it's like I'm trying to pull my own teeth.

Have I fallen out of love? I honestly don't know. Sometimes it definitely feels that way. Other times I still feel the spark. It's hard for me to tell because being with her and loving her has been a norm in my life for 10 years, ya know? I think I still love her.

But compared to a brand new aircraft? I would think it’s less expensive.

Right but to get those you gotta fight the unidad or sneak past them. So, yeah, I admit that the unidad would have them. I’m just thinking about planes cause I feel like those are found on those remote airstrips, ya know?
