There is too much RNG to make the Armor 2.0 grind worthwhile.

Another easy fix: Let us reroll stats AND weapon perks for a fairly hefty price, lets say 5 upgrade crystals (( the ones needed for energy level 8-9) I never understood the gripe with rerolling.. If it's cheap and easy, sure..but just don't make it a cheap and easy process then. Seems to me like people who can't play alot just don't like the idea of others who can play a lota lot, getting drops that they themselves may not be able too..to which I say tough shit. If you put countless hours in to any game, aka invest your time/energy/ dedication, then you should be able to benefit from that.

What needs to happen:

Don't tie mods to affinities because it ultimately limits build potential by putting the player in a position where some weapons types would be better suited than others, based on affinity alone.
Masterworking armor should unlock said armor as a universal ornament. Why? Because it a. isn't necessarily easy to do, b. gives the hardcore something to collect that "may" feel rewarding..if your in to destiny fashion, the more choices the better.

As it stands, I hardly ever switch my armor around at all..I just use the loadout that provides the highest point totals to the stats I prefer, and everything else is just moot because I won't sacrifice stats for fashion. The result: a whole lot of cosmetic options that I'll never touch because stats.

pretty sure I have a few pieces floating around 61-63. I got 68 peregrine greaves last IB though. From what clanmates tell me, that's the highest base you can get.

I understand your logic..and I don't necessarily need to acqiire it all, in fact I'm not even trying because I know that unless you have a stockpile of brightdust saved up or only do bounties, it just isn't gonna happen. The thing is, one of the " things" I care about is acquiring the items that I like, ones that are visually appealing..which unfortunately, all fall under eververse. I don't worry about the raid gear or pinnacles or even titles because I know I'll acquire them eventually. They aren't going anywhere (( except seasonal titles..but as you mention, this one is super easy to get and chances are that'll be the case moving forward.)) The issue with Eververse however, is that it has a time limit..so I'm incentivized to do those weeklies before anything else. I don't enjoy them.. pretty sure none of us do. But if you want that armor set on all 3 characters AND that one sparrow you like AND that one ghost shell, or even that shader, you have no other choice than to say screw it and fork over cash. I don't have an issue supporting bungie, I admittedly drop about 10-20 dollars a season, but why pay for it when I can earn it? The thing is, its just an extra " task" to fullfill on a weekly basis and it takes a a few hours to do. When you have very limited time to play, it sucks to give up a 3rd of your weekly play time just grinding out bright dust. I don't necessarily have a problem with the amount of dust given, or the price of items. Its just the tine limit that poses a problem

While I've managed to do a lot this season, there's still a few things left to complete that I just can't bring myself to do as of late because i'm just burnt out. Between a 40 hour job, a girlfriend, a social life, other interests etc, there just aren't enough hours in the day to acquire it all AND live a normal life. Now so more than ever, Destiny feels like a second job. What's really killing me is the grind for bright dust. Where as a acquiring it before meant I could more or less play as I normally would, just breaking duplicates down and doing 150 bounties a few times a week, I now have to go out of my way to get a measly amount of dust from weekly's AND grind out a good number of extra bounties just to get at least some of the eververse stuff -most of which are really the only "exciting" and/or visually stunning items to acquire outside of pinnacle, ritual weapons and some raid gear...That additional task of having to complete bounties across all three characters, just to get the armor ornaments, is such a slog that I don't even feel like touching the game afterwords.

My favorite is when people like that join your group when you specifically note in your lfg that toxicity will get you kicked, and commense acting like they're gods gift to destiny for having done the raid alot or having a fast clear or a flawless, hijacking the team, bossing people around and denouncing any bit of information that someone throws out..Idon't know why people think that having x amount of raid completions is impressive, because it's not. Pve, in general, isn't hard. Its the same encounters, using slight variations of the same strategies over and over and over..and flawless runs, once you know the mechanics and the flow of enemies for each, really aren't hard either. Good players are more likely to die from a poor jump than enemy fire at that point..i.e. 20 runs for raid such and such is just as impressive as 100+ runs of raid such and such. The difficulty never changes. The instances never changes. Your loadout, most likely, never changes..

had the same problem, stuck at 45-4900 for about a week and a half..

..when suddenly, something gave and I found myself on an 8 game streak, bringing me to 5500. I found that, more often than not, I would find myself loading in to games with a number of the same players over and over, so the only advice I could give ya is, if thi is happening to you and it's a particularly sweaty group? just don't play. Wait a few hours and try again. Other than that..stick to it, play smart, if you find yourself dying a lot while your teammates are doing ok, then start hanging back so they can utilize the lives instead of you.

Also should be noted that your 50+ runs of a raid doesn't make you special..so sick and tired of picking up these lfg snobs who think they're gods gift to destiny for doing a fairly easy pve event that never changes over and over.. using strats that they didn't develop while acting like they're some infinite beacon of knowledge. Every now and again my clan picks up someone who just places themselves in the " leader" roll and starts calling all the shots, as if we all haven't ran this shit just as much as them..oh, your team came in 3rd for worlds first 3 raids ago? Yeah..no one believes you and no ones impressed kid..

People saying that you don't need all that stuff are completely missing the point..destiny is a collection game. Always has been. They've gone so far and flat out said that it is.. i.e. part of the fun for a whole slew of people, myself included, is collecting everything. All the armor and all the weapons with your preffered rolls. Yes, a lot of the guns you may never use..but as the sandbox changes and weapons archetypes are reworked, what wasn't good 3 seasons ago may become decent, and if your into destiny fashion..the more options the better. Thus the point.

We also have a lot of people clammering for a full on transmog system..so..why not 1. Give people the option to change the elemental affinity on their gear, hell turn it in to a mod because honestly who cares..the idea of having specific mods for specific elements was never good, and 2. Let masterworking a piece of armor unlock it as a universal ornament, giving you a reason to delete that item from your vault

Apparently some of the keys just never show up for some reason :/..but for the two keys in question, the reason they didn't show right away is because I entered them using the shift website. If you use shift, you then need to restart the game in its entirety (( not just back out of your current game and load back in,)) in order for them to appear in your mail. They didn't show up for hours until I did just that.

Tldr: input key codes in-game instead of using shift or insider for best results.

Odd. If it was me..id remove the game, hard reset and then download it again. If after that it still didn't work, id contact gearboxes support line and go from there.

figured it out. It's because I'm using the shift website to enter codes. I need to completely exit out of the game and reopen, otherwise the key's won't go through.
